The protagonist has kept a very low profile so far, so of course, he hasn’t been able to show off his true abilities. Weapon Maker: Chapter 12 Recap
In the previous chapter of Weapon Maker, Joonseoh and Yoon Taeheon are together after Joonseoh kills the really powerful monster Arachne. Taeheon was already pestering Joonseoh to join his guild because he believed Joonseoh to have potential. He was very tenacious even though Joonseoh kept turning him down without fail.
Taeheon does see that Joonseoh is not an average person based on how he killed the monster, and we are all a little surprised that Jooseoh revealed his abilities like that. Of course, it does make sense because both of them would’ve died unless Jooseoh did something.
Why would a guildmaster bow his head in front of a D-rank helper? He has enough sense to leave them alone and not get involved in big guild business. Joonseoh feels a little awkward with the sudden apology, and he tells Taeheon to keep his dignity as a guild master.
Taeheon is still too tenacious to just let someone like Joonseoh go, and he offers him a pretty sweet deal. He tells Joonseoh that he realizes how he wants to keep his identity hidden, so he offers him a deal with the promise of being discrete.
He says that Joonseoh can ask for whatever he wants, but he will have to take up commissions Taeoheon will give personally. Joonseoh also has the right to reject commissions at his discretion. All Taeheon wanted was to keep Joonseoh from signing deals with some other guild.
