Virginia Guiffre has claimed that Jeffrey Epstein paid her thousands of dollars to have sex with Prince Andrew. The court papers of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking were revealed on January 3, 2024.
The first set of court papers were released after Judge Loretta Preska ruled in December that they may be unsealed, and no objections were lodged. The materials are from a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Jeffrey and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, for sex trafficking.
Guiffre made the allegation back in 2016 in a Florida court. In the court papers, she was asked if she was paid fifteen thousand by or on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein for having sex with Prince Andrew. She replied that she had accepted the money and was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew.
For the question of whether she has paid any tax to the government on the money, she said that she did not pay any taxes for the particular money.
In the past, Giuffre said she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York three times between 1999 and 2002, in London, New York, and on Epstein’s private Caribbean Island. It was unclear which occasion she was referring to when she mentioned the fifteen thousand payouts.
In other parts of the deposition, she discussed an undated visit to a club with Prince Andrew, during which he ordered them clear drinks from the bar and claimed that her drink included alcohol.
Giuffre previously stated that her first meeting with Prince Andrew occurred in Ghislaine Maxwell’s London house when she was 17 years old. Maxwell has rejected the claims and is presently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence for her role in sex trafficking kids with Epstein.
Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
Prince Andrew denied the allegations
Prince Andrew has denied all the allegations of sexual assault. Johanna Sjoberg has also claimed that she was also assaulted by Prince Andrew.
In the court papers that were unleashed on 3 January, Johanna Sjoberg has also claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Prince Andrew.
According to unsealed prosecution documents, Johanna’s confession was recorded while Prince Andrew caressed her breast in Epstein’s New York City home in 2001.
She claimed that while sitting for a group portrait with Giuffre, Epstein, Maxwell, and an Andrew-like doll, Prince Andrew placed his hand on her breast. Andrew has denied that he has done anything of that nature or any misbehavior.
However, police have not opened an inquiry into the case following the accusation. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they are aware of the leak of court records relating to Jeffrey Epstein. They also stated that new and relevant information should be presented to them for further review.
Prince Andrew stepped out of his royal role
After the reveal of his relations with Jeffrey Epstein in 2019 in an interview with the BBC, he has stepped back from all public duties.
In 2005, Jeffrey Epstein was charged with sexually molesting a fourteen-year-old girl. However, investigators discovered that he was trafficking girls of the same age and was a sex offender. However, he was liberated after thirteen months. He was eventually caught in July 2019 on sex trafficking allegations and discovered in a detention cell. Doctors certified his death as a suicide.
In the interview, he also said that he has no recollection of ever meeting Guiffre when a journalist raised the issue of a photo showing the royal with his arm around Giuffre’s waist.
In the interview, he also said that
It has become clear to him over the last few days that the circumstances relating to his former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to his family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that he is proud to support. Therefore, he has asked Her Majesty if he may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission.
He also made clear that he regrets his relationship with the sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey’s suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for the victims.
Prince Andrew deeply sympathized with all the victims who were affected by Jeffrey.
He was stripped of his military titles and patronages by his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in January 2022, only after Guiffre filed a sexual assault lawsuit. However, this was settled outside the court in February 2022.
