Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 18 Recap
Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 18 starts off with an epic fight between the Snake and Thorrfin. Even though the Snake is armed with a powerful sword, Thorrfin manages to hold his ground even without any weapon. Snake is the fastest person Thorrfin has ever dueled, and without any weapon to fight Snake, the odds are against him.
Snake is surprised and irritated at how well Thorrfin managed to fight Snake while unarmed, and Snake decides to change his swordplay by using Thursting moves and taking advantage of the fact that Thorrfin has no weapon. Thorrfin is now immediately in a pinch as he cannot close the distance between him and Snake. Due to the frequent burst of thrusts from Snake’s weapon and Thorrfin’s losing the lead, he loses the battle to Thorrfin, and Snake decides to kill Gardar since he got near him.
Arnheid begs Snake not to kill Gardar as a final stand, and Snake ultimately decides to kill Gardar even though Gardar killed five of his subordinates. But at the last moment, Gardar jumps out of his bed with all his might and quickly chokes Gardar and drops Snake unconscious on the ground. With the impending danger over, Gardar gains his sanity back, and both Gardar and Arnheid decide to leave the village together.
