Viewer’s Choice: The Dating Show Chapter 34 will be the latest installment in the Comedy Manhwa. The story follows the life of a woman who has been unfortunate in love all her life. She has been in love with the same person for over two decades, but the love was never reciprocated.

She has confessed to this person multiple times but to no avail. With no other option in sight, she decided to apply to a dating reality television show, and her surprise was chosen to star in it. Mo Da-Hye met Lee Won-Gu when she was 7 years old when he and his family moved into a neighboring apartment. She was instantly smitten and still is to this day. Won-Gu seems to have no interest in anything more than a friendship with Da-Hye.

Viewer’s Choice was a dating show where Won-Gu was one of the producers. Da-Hye tried her luck and was selected. The show aims at helping her find her first boyfriend in 7 days. She has to go on dates, play games with them, live under the same roof, and make her decision by the end of the week.

Furthermore, the guy who wins will be awarded a whopping ₩1,000,000 (One Million Won). The contestants range from famous idols to your typical everyday software designers.

However, Da-Hye only has eyes for Won-Gu. Won-Gu has a stake in one of the contestants as well, Seon-Ho. As a producer, he has the final say in who wins. We know that Seon-Ho has a lot of debt, and the prize money will go a long way in getting it sorted out. The race is neck and neck at the moment. Kim Dong-Yoon currently holds the first place in the rating, with Seon-Ho following close behind.

In the last chapter, we got a preview of the life Seon-Ho had lived. His father was a drunk and a gambling addict who died unexpectedly one day.

This left Seon-Ho to step up to the plate and become the man of the family. Furthermore, the loan sharks expected him to settle his father’s debt in his place. This is why Seon-Ho must win the competition. The money will help him and his widowed mother to live a peaceful life.

We see Seon-Ho lying in bed, thinking about Da-Hye. He thinks to himself that he has to step up his game and that he should be the one taking care of her and not the other way around. Seon-Ho knows that Da-Hye is already in love with Won-Gu, but he doesn’t want to bother with that.

The scene then shifts to Viewer’s Choice headquarters, where they are discussing player rankings. It seems that Dong-Yoon is in the lead, and Won-Gu wonders if it is time to bring out his “secret weapon” yet.

Won-Gu seems to have something planned to bring Seon-Ho in the spotlights. To be able to increase his rating more than a Kpop Idol is no easy feat. What Won-Gu has prepared must be something truly spectacular after all. We didn’t get to see Da-Hye at all in the previous chapter.

Hopefully, we will get to see more of her in the next chapter. We desperately want to know her reaction to what’s going on around her. The end of the season is almost here, and it is anyone’s guess what is going through Da-Hye’s head, except for Won-Gu, that is.
