This girl, Miko, was sent by Ren’s father to convince Ruka that Miko was his destined partner, thus allowing Ren to take Mito as his own partner.
Mito and Miko clash, with Miko asserting that in a crisis, Ruka would choose her over Mito. In a dramatic turn, Miko cuts a bridge, causing both her and Mito to fall.
Ruka extends his hand only to save Miko, leaving Mito heartbroken as she falls into the river. This event deepens the emotional turmoil and tensions between the characters, setting the stage for the upcoming episode.
