Üvey Anne revolves around Faruk Gencer. He is a widowed father with three kids, Nisan, Naz and Ömer. After the death of his loving wife, Efsun, Faruk was in a deep state of grief. Serap works as Faruk’s assistant. She gave a shoulder of support to Faruk. Serap volunteered to help Faruk in taking care of his children. She created a very close bond with the children.

Faruk urges Serap to reconsider her decision and come back home. Mete catches Faruk and Serap together. They were shocked to see Mete all of a sudden. Serap enquired how Mete got her house keys. He came inside with Naz, Faruk’s daughter. A misunderstanding between Faruk and Serap emerged because of Mete. Faruk refuses to listen to Serap’s responses.
Faruk yelled at Naz for being angry and hating him for everything that happened in their lives lately. Naz explains why she was upset. Serap had no choice but to leave the house after Ömer got sick. Meanwhile, Faruk and Ipek remained at the hotel. Ömer would have recovered, and their lives would have been usual if Faruk hadn’t left them.
Serap leaves with her luggage and warns Mete not to interfere in her life again. At home, Nisan and Cem were waiting for Naz. They were relieved to see her safe and sound. Mete follows Serap and finds her. She was furious against Mete for destroying her ticket to Rome. Serap was so frustrated. She broke a glass and was ready to slit his throat. She wanted to get rid of him for destroying her life.
Ipek has already kicked Mete out of the house and doesn’t want his sight near the building. Serap speaks with Naz and advises her not to take any dangerous steps in the future. Naz and Nisan expected their father to bring back Serap, but he did not. Nisan and Cem came to meet Serap at the hotel.
Nisan insists her father, Faruk, bring back Serap, but he ignores her words. He urges her not to make decisions without consulting him. Faruk came to talk to Serap directly. Serap admits that she felt like a mother after spending time with his children. She knew Faruk would never forget his late wife, but she fell in love with him. She begs forgiveness for kissing him that night. Faruk proclaims that he does not want Serap in their lives.
Naz was upset as she missed her mother and her life before. She was bonding with Serap, but he took her away from her life. Faruk was hurt by Naz’s words. On the wedding anniversary, Ipek gave Faruk the portrait of his late wife, Efsun. Faruk launched a special project dedicated to his wife, Efsun. During the programme, a photo of Faruk kissing Serap appeared on the screen, startling everyone.
