Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting ready for 2024.
The 41-year-old royal couple has confirmed their schedules for the first few months of the new year. They will celebrate New Year’s Eve and catch up with Kate’s family, including her new nephew Inigo (the son of her brother James Middleton and wife Alizee Thevenet), before beginning their royal duties.
The couple will also concentrate on getting their kids back into school. George is about to reach a big milestone because he will probably go to boarding school. William’s old school, Eton College, or Marlborough, where Kate was educated and recently spent time with her family, are two possible choices.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are planning an international trip
The royal couple is rumored to be planning an international trip in the coming year, with Rome, Italy, being their intended destination.
Notably, Kate did not take any official trips abroad in the previous year, despite William visiting Polish troops stationed on the Ukrainian border and expressing support for refugees. He traveled to Singapore as well to attend the Earthshot Prize ceremonies.
Prince William and Kate Middleton to initiate several campaigns
Kate and William will keep up their hard work on a number of campaigns in the upcoming year. Kate’s “Shaping Us” program, which supports early childhood development, and William’s Homewards initiative, which addresses homelessness, continue to be at the forefront.
Later in the year, William will also support the Earthshot Prize’s fourth year. They’re very supportive of each other and each other’s work, a palace source told PEOPLE. William is extremely proud of Kate’s accomplishments in the early years, and she is also very supportive of the prince’s work on Homewards and Earthshot this year.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton intend to continue supporting Queen Camilla
They also still intend to continue supporting Queen Camilla, 76, and King Charles, 75, both domestically in the UK and abroad. This dedication was demonstrated in October when the couple was instrumental in preparing the diplomatic corps for the annual Buckingham Palace reception and in welcoming the president of South Korea during his visit to the United Kingdom.
Wearing the Lover’s Knot tiara, Kate exuded style as she moved through the palace’s state rooms. “She knows the important role the family plays in building relationships globally on behalf of the U.K.,” stressed a royal source.
There will be a change in focus as Kate carries out her work on the “Shaping Us” project to investigate how companies can help low-income families. She established her business task force earlier this year, so in the first few months of 2024, this will receive more attention.
That was nearly a year ago when Kate and her team launched Shaping Us, the result of ten years of reflection. A source claims that she approached the subject with rigor, taking the time to fully understand it and consider how she could raise awareness of the early years in society. The insider confirms that Kate is determined to keep pushing for the cause and that this commitment will last well into 2024.
Even though the couple stays in what a representative for the palace refers to as “clear lanes,” their joint activities—like their memorable October visit to Birmingham for World Mental Health Day and their frequent trips to Wales—make an impression.
These trips are anticipated to be an important part of their schedule, as will their formal engagements with the King and Queen. Prince George’s godfather, the Duke of Westminster, is getting married in June, so those events will probably be included as well.
