The fan-favorite action manga series, Under Ninja, finally got its own anime adaption, and its first episode was a treat for the eyes. Plus, the anime adaptation was perfect, with little room to find fault.

The first episode follows the 1-3 chapters from the manga series, and it features a small plot that sees Kuro Kumogakure talking with Kato. Kato is the one who brings Kuro Kumogakure to the ninja community.

They were having a fun conversation until Kuro Kumogakure suggested he should not go rogue against them. If he does? According to the community regulations, he will eliminated on the spot.

As we said earlier, Under Ninja was based on the manga series of the same name by Kengo Hanazawa. The first episode was aired on 6th October 2023 and got plenty of positive feedback from the audiences.

Under Ninja Episode 1: Recap

The previous episode of Under Ninja, titled Throw a Rock, Hit a Ninja, opens with a panel showing the soldiers and the city. The soldiers entered the enemy territory, where they found a dead man.

He had a phone in his hand. And the head was slashed by a sword. It appears that the man was killed by ninjas. The soldiers got scared after seeing the phone in the man’s hand. They believed it may trigger the bomb to get activated.

Thanks to Ninjas, who killed him before he activated the bomb. After seeing the Origami on the desk, the captain orders his soldiers to fall back. He believed there was nothing left for them to do. One of the soldiers shows his desire to see the ninjas.

The scene shifted toward Kumogakurem Kuro. He had a conversation with Suzuki, Shion Hachiya, and Miracle Hibi. Kumogakurem Kuro was messing with Miracle Hibi by bringing the burying scar on his face. He was covered with makeup and wouldn’t heal the scar until he took Kumogakurem Kuro down.

They all assembled on the rooftop to take down the enemies. They were sitting on the other building’s rooftop. Kumogakurem Kuro asked Shion Hachiya about the enemies that stood before them. He told Kumogakurem Kuro that they are the goons of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Rear Support Maneuvers Division 2. They call themselves the Read-Enders.

We also see the reference to Dragon Ball Super when Kumogakurem Kuro mentions the girl over there will have some ultimate form, like Frieza. Afterward, we see the flashback of Kumogakurem Kuro. It was time when he first received his job as a ninja. It was when he met Kato, and they had some serious talk.
