Inside the coffin, he finds Francis’ diary that gives the location of El Dorado. Just then, pirates attack and destroy his boat.
Sullivan arrives at the scene and helps Nathan and Elena escape with a seaplane. After reaching the port, Nathan and Sullivan abandon Elena as her involvement can bring more trouble.
Search For The El Dorado
Nathan and Sullivan follow the diary for El Dorado and learn that it is not a city but a huge golden idol. Then they both find a Nazi U-boat. They learn that it is on some other island. The main antagonists, Gabriel Roman and Atoq Navarro intercept Nathan and Sullivan, where Sully gets a shot and dies. Nathan escapes the scene alone and encounters Elena once again.
Together they fly to the island where the Golden statue is. Just as they reach the island, their plane gets shot by an anti-aircraft. This forces them to jump out of the plane, separating each other again.
Nathan goes to the crash site to retrieve the supplies and heads toward an old fort to find Elena. During his search, Eddy Raja and his pirates capture Nate. Elena appears and saves him from the pirates. They both flee the scene and take cover inside the island’s old customs house.
Nathan finds a record showing of statue moving further inside the island while also learning that Sullivan is alive. Sullivan is captive of Roman and Eddy and is accompanying them. Nathan and Elena go and rescues Sullivan. Sullivan explains that Nathan’s diary saved him from getting the fatal injury and did that to distract Roman and Navarro so Nathan can escape.
Now all three start searching the statue in the tunnels of a monastery. Inside they hear a conversation between Roman and Eddy, where Eddy claims that something cursed is killing his men. Roman does not buy this and dismisses him for his inability. Nathan and the group then find a passage to a treasure vault and find the body of Francis Drake. Deducing that Francis died while searching for the treasure. They move and encounter Eddy and his pirates, terrified of something. They all witness Eddy and his group getting annihilated by mutated humans.
Nate and the group then venture and find an abandoned German bunker, where he learns that Germans sought the statue during World War II. The curse of statue turned the Germans into mutated, and just this happened with Spaniards before Germans. Sir Francis knew the power of the statue and attempted to keep it on the island by burning everything, city, and ships. But the Mutated humans killed him too.
