As Andrea “Andi” Barnes, KJ Smith Andi is a prosperous divorce attorney who is determined to advance in her profession. She is self-assured, determined, aspirational, astute, humorous, and accomplished. If you ever need an emergency call, you can rely on her.
Ebony Obsidian plays independent, headstrong, and streetwise Karen Mott, the owner of a new hair salon. She’s fed up with men treating women badly and is starting to examine her relationships closely. In her “sistas” group, Karen is the “tough love” girl. Daniella “Danni” King, portrayed by Mignon Von, is an outgoing woman.
Recap
Danni is visibly upset when she sees a picture of Preston getting married in the opening scene of Season 6 Episode 22. She is no longer in his life, he said, blocking her. Danielle is reminded by Sabrina that she likes Preston and doesn’t want to see her sabotage something positive.
Knowing that Danni is in pain, Sabrina calls her later at Maurice’s house and extends an invitation to visit. Though Danni isn’t into the idea, she wants to make her and Danni’s dates with Rich and Tony a double date.
Tony stops by Danni’s booth to discuss their date. Following some flirting, they make hints about what might happen in the bedroom following their date. Regretfully, peril lurks around every corner.
Gary tries to stop Penelope from speaking with Andi at the law office. This results in a confrontation between Gary and Fatima during which they both yell profanities at the other to get out of their face. Although the exchange is brief, it is very intense. It appears for a moment that Fatima is going to slit his throat.
Penelope, who’s by herself now, asks Andi if she wants to be with Gary. Penelope informs Andi that Gary was seeing other women besides them. There were two more women, minimum. Gary bought the same ring he bought them for another woman.
Andi, Penelope, and Fatima approach Gary and Hayden during their meeting to ask him directly. Andi tells Penelope that Gary was married. Gary tries to talk her out of talking to him by himself.
Fatima leaves her phone in the boardroom as they exit the room so they can hear what Gary and Hayden are saying. According to Gary, he didn’t marry any of the women, but he did buy them all rings. He adds that Penelope would accept him back and that she was frail.
At the new salon, Brian meets with Karen and her realtor Chelsea to finalise the terms of the lease. Despite being married, Brian seems to still be into her, Chelsea keeps saying. Brian comes across as even more dubious throughout the entire exchange.
Fatima isn’t feeling it when Zac tells her he wants to give Heather $100,000 when she gets home. She sensibly reduces him to $25,000.
Heather is reluctant to let Zatima inside his home until Zac claims to have money for her. She declines his offer of money in exchange for custody. They choose to take him when they discover him bound in the bathtub.
