Beomgyu, a member of the popular K-pop band Tomorrow X Together (TXT), will be taking a temporary break from his work commitments due to an ankle injury.
BigHit Music, the agency representing TXT, has announced that the South Korean singer has been diagnosed with a sprained ligament in his ankle.
This injury occurred accidentally during work-related activities. After a hospital visit, Beomgyu has been advised to rest, which explains his temporary break from activities.
In a statement, BigHit Music said,
“We would like to inform you about the health and future activities of TXT’s Beomgyu. Beomgyu recently visited the hospital due to an injury he suffered during his activities and was diagnosed with a sprained ligament in his ankle. We ask for your understanding that it will be difficult for him to participate in some official activities, such as Paris Fashion Week, due to the doctor’s opinion that he needs to rest for the time being.”
The agency also shared that while Beomgyu wishes to continue with his scheduled activities, they have decided to prioritize his recovery based on the doctor’s recommendations.
Therefore, they plan to proceed according to medical advice, ensuring that Beomgyu has the necessary time to heal.
“We will do our best to help Beomgyu recover as soon as possible so he can meet fans in good health,” the statement concluded.
While Beomgyu will possibly miss the upcoming events, TXT is expected to continue its schedule, which includes multiple concerts in Japan in July and August.
Additionally, the remaining four members will travel to Paris to attend Dior’s Men’s Summer 25 Collection Show.

The news comes just a month after Beomgyu released a soul-touching cover of “Sukidakara” by Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika.
