Mark Frost and David Lynch’s creation Twin Peaks, released on April 1990, is an American mystery television series, that broadcasted on ABC. The series has two subsequent seasons and one film. The first season of Twin Peaks was released on April 8, 1990, which consisted of 8 episodes, and wrapped up on May 23, 1990. The second season was released on September 30, 1990, with 22 episodes in total, and came to an end on June 10, 1991.
After the release of the second season, the series was canceled for the next season. So, the producers of Twin Peaks returned with a film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, on August 28, 1992. After almost 25 years, Twin Peaks premiered its third season on May 21, 2017, which consisted of 18 episodes.
Twin Peaks is referred to as one of the best television series of all time it revolutionized the content in television and attracted a massive audience, which gradually became a cult. Truman. The main protagonists of the series include Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper and Michael Ontkean as Harry S. Truman. The cult series, Twin Peaks was shot mainly in and around California and Washington, USA. Many scenes were also shot near Seattle, Washington.
Snoqualmie City, Washington
Many exterior scenes were shot in towns like Snoqualmie, North Bend, and Fall City in Washington. The waterfall which is shown during the opening credits of Twin Peaks is the Snoqualmie Falls located at 6501 Railroad Ave SE, Snoqualmie, WA. The exterior scenes of the Great Northern Hotel were shot at a resort near the waterfalls, named, The Salish Lodge, located at the same location as the Snoqualmie Falls.
The scenes which showed the Sheriff’s office and Packard Saw Mill was shot at DirtFish, which is situated at 7001 396th Dr. SE, Snoqualmie, WA. The exact filming location does not exist anymore as it is now converted into DirtFish Rally Driving School.
One of the most iconic filming locations of Twin Peaks is the Reinig Bridge, which was called Ronette’s Bridge in the series, located at SE Reinig Rd, Snoqualmie, WA. Here, the most shocking revelation took place about Ronet Pulaski being alive after Laura Palmer’s death.
The scenes of Twin Peaks High School were shot in Mount Si High School, which was situated at 8651 Meadowbrook Way SE, Snoqualmie, WA. The school is now converted into an eating joint with the same name.
In the opening scene of the series, there was another location which was shown, Centennial Log at 7971 Railroad Avenue, Snoqualmie, WA. Some of the scenes inside Elk’s Point #9 Bar, were also shot in Smokey Joe’s Bar, situated at 38600 SE King St, Snoqualmie, WA.
The scene where James, Laura, and Donna went for a picnic, was shot in Snoqualmie Point Park, located at 37580 Winery Rd, Snoqualmie, WA.

The restaurant, The Double-R Diner, which was mostly shown in Twin Peaks, was shot in Twede’s Café, which is located at 137 W North Bend Way, North Bend, WA.
The house shown as the residence of Leo Johnson and Shelly Johnson is originally located at 8304 372nd Pl SE, Snoqualmie, WA. The scenes in Big Ed’s Gas Farm were shot in what is now called, the Balloon Designers, situated at 8606 Preston-Fall City Rd SE, Preston, WA.
The interior scenes of the Great Northern Hotel, where Laura’s dead body was found, were filmed at Kiana Lodge, located at 14976 Sandy Hook Rd NE, Poulsbo, WA.
Many interior scenes were shot in pre-made sets in a warehouse in San Fernando Valley, located in Los Angeles, California.
