In this post, we are going to talk about The 100 season 6 release date, cast, and updates. The show premiered on 19 March 2014. The show is based loosely based on the novel of the same name written by Kass Morgan. The show is developed by Jason Rothenberg, and the show is broadcasted on The CW. The series revolves around post-apocalyptic survivors and their struggles.

The 100 Season 6 Release Date, Cast

The fifth season recently concluded, on 7 August 2018. But before the fifth season even concluded, the show was renewed for a sixth season on 8 May 2018; this means The CW is working hard to match their usual schedule back. Actually, all the seasons usually release in the first quarter of the year. But the fourth season was released in April, so I think early renewal is the sign of getting things back as they were. So, we can determine that the sixth season of The 100 might release on the usual period, but we will keep the area broad as it may be released anytime between January to May in 2019.

The 100 Season 6 Updates

The series includes 13 to 16 episodes in each season. The fifth season included 13 episodes, and the sixth season is also supposed to have the same number of episodes. Coming in the midseason next year, we might expect some new plot twists in the story. Jason Rothenberg is all set to bring out a whole new adventure in the series. The twist is both necessity and also the endpoint of the previous storyline, as there must be something interesting to carry on.

While speaking with a private new agency, Jason said,

“I did have an endpoint in mind, and that endpoint has been reached, and yet we broke a whole new story wide open”

This literally indicates a major change in the storyline, maybe some alteration in cast or character kill off may also be included. Additionally, there might be some time jump or anything relative to that too!
