The third season of Riverdale is currently on filming stage, and it is expected to come on October 10, 2018. Good news for Riverdale fans because the next season is not the only thing that they can be excited about. The four main cast will be playing an episode as their younger onscreen parents.
Riverdale “The Midnight Club” Announced
The show’s higher-ups dropped some spoilers and new projects for the Riverdale series, and one of them is a flashback episode for the core four’s parents. This project is called “The Midnight Club” as a nod to the classic film The Breakfast Club. It is expected that this episode will feature a lot of the 80’s elements and more from the era. It was announced at the Television Critics Association last Monday.
The younger actors will play as their young parents in this episode. K.J. Apa will play the younger Fred Andrews (Luke Perry), Lili Reinhart will play Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick), Camila Mendes will play as Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols), and Cole Sprouse will play as FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich).
“The Midnight Club” will be the fourth episode in the next season, so the wait is not that long. Show writer Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa revealed that Lili Reinhart loves this episode. “We’ve been teasing this for years, going back to Season 1. I call this the ‘Lili Reinhart Memorial episode’ – because she’s been wanting to do a flashback episode for years.”
Riverdale Season 3 Spoilers – Wedding Episode?
This is not the only spoiler for Riverdale season 3, as there would be a wedding episode coming soon. “We haven’t really had a wedding episode. But we might have one in the offing that involves a certain ex-mayor and a certain ex-sheriff,” said Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa during the same press tour last Monday.
It is also stated that Archi and Veronica might split in this season. There might also be a new love interest for Veronica, and that might be hinted as early as episode 3. One thing that fans would want to hear is that there is a chance that Jughead’s mom could be introduced on the next season.
