When Does ‘Doctor Who’ Season 11 Come Out?

The exact date for the release is yet to be declared, but it’s confirmed that the season will feature only ten episodes making it the shortest season till now. Also, this season is expected to be a season with Jodie Whittaker taking the mantle as Doctor Who. The production has confirmed the wrapping up of the primary shoots.

Rumour has it that the show was moved to a Sunday evening slot, but there hasn’t been any confirmation from the production. Showrunner Chris Chibnall hasn’t commented on the rumors. At the comic-con this year at San-Diego he said that this year has ten standalone stories with lots of villains and new characters for the fans.

Doctor Who Season 11 will also feature a new set of writers. BBC has totally revamped the writing section with new writers. The new writing team is led by Malorie Blackman. Other writers for Season 11 are – Ed Hime, Vinay Patel, Pete McTighe and Joy Wilkinson.

Doctor Who Season 11 will cast Jodie Whittaker, joined in by Mandip Gill who will play the role of Yasmin Khan, Tosin Cole who will play the role of Ryan Sinclair and Tosin Cole who will play the role of Graham.
