Tsukimichi – Moonlit Fantasy is an engrossing Japanese light book series authored and illustrated by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto. It also became a manga, drawn by Kotora Kino, and released by Alpha Manga in English.
On October 20, 2020, fans received happy news about an anime adaptation. Directed by Shinji Ishihira, this C2C-animated series has character designs by Yukie Suzuki, a storyline by Kenta Ihara, and music by Yasuharu Takanashi. It seems to be an immersive experience.
Following the very acclaimed premiere, a second season, including animation by J.C. Staff, was officially confirmed. Viewers are given more time for the next two classes. Keina Suda performs the opening theme, “Utopia,” while Kent Itō performs the concluding song, “My Factor.”
The Plot
Misumi Makoto, a typical high-school student who enjoys archery, is the protagonist of Tsukimichi – Moonlit Fantasy. One day, the god Tsukuyomi transports him to a mystical realm. As it happens, his parents had promised that he would be a hero there in the past. Pretty exciting, huh? Not exactly.
The world’s supreme goddess is not fond of Makoto’s appearance. She’s so angry with him that she abandons him to fend for himself well out on the edge of this new world. He gets no hero treatment or welcome celebrations.
The twist is that Makoto is not just any guy. He possesses a rare amount of Mana, a kind of supermagical power. In addition, he can understand all languages spoken in this magical realm, but not the native tongue. Thus, despite his extraordinary abilities, he can’t speak the local language!
Makoto is alone on this strange planet now. That doesn’t deter him, though. As soon as he begins to explore, he knows he’s in for a fantastic journey. He comes into an array of difficult situations and animals. Imagine traveling to locations you’ve only ever seen in stories and seeing strange animals. Makoto has to deal with that.
Makoto needs to bargain with more than just casting spells and engaging evildoers. It is about getting to be conversant with the locals. He is determined to figure out a way to induce alongside them even though he cannot talk to them in their language. It gets to be basic for him to discover partners and friends in this unused society.
As Makoto explores this superb world, he learns a lot about himself. He picks up knowledge and utilizes his interesting skills to their fullest. Along the way, he makes strange partners and faces a few extremely strong opponents. Nevertheless, he never gives up on his journey to both find a put where he truly has a place and fulfill the prophecy that brought him here.
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy is a charming fusion of mystical experiences, comedic minutes, and Makoto’s seek for his claim put in a world that’s foreign to him. It narrates the story of a standard man who, in addition to battling terrible enemies, changes into a hero by discovering more about himself and the people around him.
Ending Explained
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy’s first season ends with a bang! Following a large-scale explosion, Makoto learns of an attempted theft. A party attempted to take magical items, but the result was a deadly explosion that claimed several lives. Feeling retaliated, Makoto kills one of the robbers.
Later on, Makoto, who is now friends with Shiki, a lich, gets a glimpse into the thief’s memories. Sharing memories makes Mio feel a little jealous of Makoto, Tomoe, and Mio’s mutual trust. Makoto constructs barriers between the villagers and the adventures to keep them secure.
He also intends to travel across the globe more. He opens a store in Rotsguard Academy with Shiki, hoping to learn about the outside world, the Goddess, and people. He gives Tomoe and Mio more memories as gifts before departing.

This is where things get crazy, though. Makoto attempts to teleport, but the Goddess messes things up, transporting him to a combat zone. There, he confronts Sofia Bulger and Mitsurugi, who disclose that they have joined the Demon Army to wipe out humanity. Although it’s a hard fight, Makoto’s strength prevails. He bounces off them, leaving them angry but still alive.
When news of a major conflict reaches the town, everyone assumes it was caused by someone else, not aware Makoto was engaged. Shiki and Tomoe believe Makoto was used by the Goddess to cause the damage. When Tomoe uses Makoto’s powers to create a new creature named Komoe, there’s even more drama. Mio becomes quite agitated when Komoe refers to Makoto as “Papa.”
Makoto finally opened up shop, and it’s a big success! Then, word spread of the enormous conflict between the armies of the demons and the humans. Makoto feels that perhaps his near future won’t be as serene as he had thought when Mio and Tomoe start arguing again during the celebration the town organizes for him.
