In the realm of dance and choreography, Travis Wall is a remarkable talent. Travis experienced great success in 2006 after joining the cast of “So You Think You Can Dance.”
With an artist’s heart, Travis becomes the music. He pours energy and heart into his dancing. The stage is nearly too small for Travis Wall’s vision as he dances, therefore there are no limits.
His body, mind, and spirit are all dancers. Mia Michaels’ first Emmy was awarded in 2006 for her choreography on “The Bench Routine”. Everyone who saw it was moved by the work, which Travis Wall and Heidi Groskreutz gave life.
The producers of “So You Think You Can Dance” engaged Travis Wall as a choreographer for the fifth season of the program. Now, the pupil was the instructor. The artist is now the dancer. Millions of people are inspired by his views every week.
As a dancer, Travis Wall’s spirit soars, but as a choreographer, his heart is ever more evident. Travis Wall’s artwork is frequently intricate and transports the observer to a realm that may even break your heart, but it is so exquisite that it does not matter.
Travis is a choreographer who has made dances for his ailing mother and his nasty best friend. Although the dance is technically flawless, life is created by the passion.
The modern work of Travis Wall captures the heartache that people frequently experience but are afraid to communicate. He puts all of himself and the stories of his life into each note and choreography.
Travis Wall Controversy
Travis Wall, the two-time Emmy-winning choreographer and star of So You Think You Can Dance, has been removed from the Break the Floor dance company’s tours following accusations of sexual assault and grooming made against him by a dancer who was younger at the time.
In a Toronto Star report describing claimed inappropriate sexual advances, unsolicited nude photos, sexual harassment, and sex acts by various members of the renowned dance company, Myles Lavallee is one of eight former employees and pupils.
Wall was 20 years old and Lavallee was 16 at the time of the alleged incident. In 2008, Lavallee recounted an occasion when the dancer was conducting a dancing class in the vicinity of her parents’ residence. Wall was invited to remain by his parents, and later that night, Wall is said to have given Lavallee some ecstasy.
Lavallee recalled the event, saying, “We were doing hand massages, which just creeps me out now.” He added that he believed that “kissing one another” was “the next step for us,” so he promptly invited a buddy to the house.
Lavallee claimed he told Wall up front that he didn’t want their relationship to turn sexual. Wall supposedly replied by assuring the 16-year-old he was not interested in making any more advances toward him physically or sexually, but that he was attracted to him romantically and thought of him as his best friend.
Soon after, according to Lavallee, Wall severed all ties with him and neglected to attend a planned teaching session. Now that he thinks Wall is preparing him for a sexual connection, he distances himself from Wall both emotionally and professionally after Lavallee rejects his approaches.
Apart from Wall’s purported actions, Lavallee also asserts that at a party that year, an anonymous dancer inappropriately pushed himself on the young people.
The dancer, who was 24 at the time, works for BTF right now as a choreographer. Break the Floor responded to the claims by announcing on Instagram that Wall was no longer “travelling with BTF” and that they would be hiring “a third party to look into these allegations.”
In 2006, Wall made waves as the runner-up on the second season of So You Think You Can Dance. Since joining the show in 2012 as a choreographer, he has been recognized with two Emmy Awards for his contributions to SYTYCD.
Wendy, Lavallee’s mother, expressed regret that she was not informed sooner about the alleged abuse. She said that she had some harsh words to say about Wall. “The number of times I considered writing to Travis is uncountable. I would only have to say [five] words,” Wendy remarked. “‘I know what you did.'”
Although Wall’s representative told the Star that the charges against him were untrue, Wall has not yet released a statement publicly addressing the matter. When and if he does, we’ll update this story.
