Travis Scott has announced the cancellation of his Utopia-Circus Maximus Tour to Chicago’s United Centre, which was to be held on December 15, 2023. Scott posted on his X (formerly Twitter) that he had to spend Friday on the tarmac instead of the stage.
The rapper also shared the experience he attained from there and wrote about how he had to spend 24 hours on the runway. The crowd in Chicago was crazy, and it’s his favorite place. He mentioned that he’ll be coming back in the first couple of days of January. The United Centre also made a tweet in which they mentioned the postponement of the show.
Why did Scott’s fans leave in limbo ahead of the Chicago concert?
The 24 hours spent by the rapper on the tarmac instead of on stage led to the cancellation of the show scheduled in Chicago for December 15, 2023, and the rapper broke this news out through his X (formerly Twitter) account.
After his Friday show, Travis made a tweet on his X (formerly Twitter) account saying, “I literally spent 24 hours on a fucking runway. The craziest sh*t ever. To my people in Chicago, I was so ready to go crazy. Chicago has always been one of my favorite places. Togo Ham and I have been waiting for it the whole tour. I will be back the first couple days of January.”
The update was disheartening for the La Flame fans who were looking forward to his Chicago tour. The cancellation of the show led to the X (formerly Twitter) being flooded with frustrated comments. The show was canceled just two hours before it was to be held in Chicago.
The United Centre made a tweet mentioning the cancellation of the show that was scheduled to be held on December 15, 2023, at night. Regarding the tickets, they wrote, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced.” Further, information is said to be posted on the same X account or will be emailed to the ticket holders once it is available.
Travis has a huge fan circle that loves and supports him. This concert in Chicago was highly anticipated by the fans, but its cancellation at the last moment left them in frustration.
People started making tweets like “Travis Scott canceled 2 hours before the concert in Chicago. No one is sadder than my 57-year-old father sitting on my couch right now,” which seemed like the biggest fans of Scott were left in limbo after the cancellation of the concert.
