Travis Rudolph’s Murder Case
Rudolph got arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder in Palm Beach County, Florida, on April 7, 2021. Travis was also charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder. The investigators of the case informed the public about Rudolph’s open firing at four people following a dispute with his mother. It was later revealed that the four men visited the house of Rudolph’s mother to confront her for the alleged domestic violence accusations.
Rudoph equipped himself with an AR-15-style pistol during the confrontation between his mother and the four men. During the confrontation, Rudolph opened fire at the four men, which resulted in one of them being killed on the spot and three getting injured. After the firing took place, Rudolph got arrested in imprisoned without bond. The defense team of Rudolph filed a motion to free him of all the charges under Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law.
It was later revealed through text messages that his ex sent her brother a text telling him to shoot Rudolph as she had seen him with another woman. After a lengthy court battle, the jury unanimously declared Rudolph not guilty based on the pieces of evidence.
