Travis Kelce, who is the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has recently opened up on his relationship with Taylor Swift, the most streamed musician.

The couple have taken their romance public in recent months but have kept many delicate details about their early days very private till now. For a cover story with WSJ Magazine, the football player discussed how their relationship began, their similarities to each other, and his growing admiration for Taylor.

He gave an insight into how the two got in touch after he failed to meet her during her Kansas City Eras Tour Show. However, Kelce apparently had someone “playing Cupid” to help him get in touch with Swift. He said that a few members of the Swift family even assisted in helping him get her attention.

The duo later had their first date on the East Coast. When the two met in New York, they had already been in the talking stage and, after having a good dinner, decided to take things forward. He says how he has been dealing with the sparks after the couple’s union, even with the added pressure from outsiders. 

The couple seems to be really happy, enjoying their romantic dates and having time for themselves.  

Since Kelce and Taylor have started dating, his friends have cautioned him against doing anything to mess up their relationship. Kelce has also tried to limit his interaction with the media on this matter. He said how Taylor was so important to him and did not want to do anything that would push her away from him.

Travis Kelce calls Taylor Swift ‘hilarious’ and ‘genius.’

The dating rumors of the singer-athlete duo started when Travis Kelce was seen on the Eras Tour. Later, Taylor was spotted cheering for Kelce playing, and the couple left the stadium hand in hand. 

The football player, in a recent interview, made a statement that Taylor is hilarious and a genius who writes catchy jingles. He seems to be completely impressed by her skills. 

Even though Kelce is not intimidated by Taylor’s fame, he has started to adapt to it. He says that he has never dealt with this amount of fame and is also not planning to run away from it. While she has to deal with the paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, she seems to be enjoying her life and living it to the fullest.

Discussing the similarities between both of them, the two have bonded over their family-centric values. Kelce admitted that he is a family man, and for Taylor, her team is her family. They have always been touring, traveling together, marketing, and managing her concerts. So, as per Travis, they have strong values for family relations.

Earlier, Travis mentioned how special he felt during the Eras concert, where she changed the lyrics of her song for him. Swift’s lyric change was met with much roaring and screaming from the crowd, who were left fawning for the couple. Travis also seemed very shocked by the surprise Taylor had for her partner.

After the concert, Taylor rushed back into her partners’ arms and shared a kiss. The two were later celebrated by the Swifties and Travis fans.

Kelce’s family clearly approves of Swift. Donna Kelce said in an interview that she has never seen her son this happy for a long time. The two families are expected to meet during a football match. Travis Kelce met Swift’s father when they attended one of her concerts, and Swift has spent time with the Kelce family, but the two families have yet to meet.

Kelce and Swift have planned to spend time together during the holidays while Swift has a two-month touring break. The duo seemed to be enjoying their life and extremely happy with their decision to be with each other.
