Nicolas Kerdiles was a professional ice hockey player who played as a forward and was primarily based in America. Nicolas Kerdiles was born in Lewisville, Texas, on 11th January 1994.
Nicolas was born to a French Father, Michel Kerdiles, a French Canadian Mother, Nathalie De Larminat-Kerdiles, and two sisters. Right after Nicholas’s birth, his family moved to France from the United States and came back to Irvine, California, when Nicholas was six years old and settled.
Nicholas started his hockey career when he studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and played for Wisconsin Badgers in NCAA Division I for two seasons.

During his freshman year in college, Nicholas was awarded as the most valuable player of the 2013 WCHA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament.
In the year 2014, Nicholas signed a 3-year contract to play for the National Hockey League for the Anaheim Duck, where he made his National professional debut in Ice Hockey.
Later in the year 2017, Nicholas appeared for the first time in the NHL, where he played against the Boston Bruins. In the year 2018, Nicholas was traded with Chase De Leo to play for the Winnipeg Jets.
Nicholas Kerdiles Dies in Nashville Motorcycle Accident:
The former National Hockey League (NHL) player, Nicholas Kerdiles, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Tennessee. He was 29 years old at the time of the accident.
The incident occurred around 3:30 AM on a Saturday when Kerdiles was riding his Indian motorcycle. Reportedly, he ran a stop sign and collided with a BMW, resulting in severe injuries.
Emergency services rushed him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead. Authorities have determined that neither Kerdiles nor the driver of the BMW showed signs of impairment.
Kerdiles had shared an Instagram story just hours before the accident, captioning it “night rider” while on his motorcycle.

Nicholas’s Relationship with Savannah Chrisley
Nicholas Kerdiles was previously engaged to reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley, daughter of real estate tycoon Todd Chrisley.
Savannah paid tribute to him on Instagram, expressing her deep sorrow and love. The couple had started dating in 2017, becoming engaged in 2018, but they eventually called off their engagement in 2020. Their split was amicable, marked by mutual respect and affection.
“We’ve parted ways. No animosity between us. Saying goodbye is tough. Love, respect, and admiration for each other, but it’s time for solo paths,” Savannah shared in an Instagram post.
NHL Career with the Anaheim Ducks
Kerdiles had a successful hockey career, representing the United States in various youth tournaments. He was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2012 and made his NHL debut in 2017. Kerdiles played a total of seven NHL games during his career.
The Anaheim Ducks released a statement expressing their condolences, acknowledging Kerdiles as a beloved member of their community. They posted on Instagram with the caption saying they were heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles’s accident that morning.
They stated that Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks in 2017, and we send our thoughts and deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
Kerdiles’ Impact in Prestigious Youth Tournaments: Condolences from the Hockey Community
Despite his contributions to the sport, Kerdiles’ NHL career was relatively short-lived. He played most of his professional hockey in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he achieved significant success.

In the AHL, he showcased his prowess with 47 goals and 60 assists, amassing 107 regular season points across 181 games. Additionally, Kerdiles recorded seven goals and five assists, totaling 12 points during his 18 appearances in AHL Playoff matches.
