Crunchyroll announced that the second season of the Tower of God anime will premiere on July 7. Alongside this announcement, they revealed a new key visual for the season.
The cast includes returning members like Taichi Ichikawa as Jyu Viole Grace and Saori Hayami as Rachel, with new additions such as Yūma Uchida as Ja Wangnan and Sayumi Watabe as Yeon Yihwa.
The new season sees Kazuyoshi Takeuchi as the chief director and Akira Suzuki taking over as director. Erika Yoshida returns to handle series scripts, joined by Takeshi Miyamoto and Riuji Yoshizaki.
Miho Tanino, who designed characters for the first season, returns with Seigo Kitazawa and Isamatsu Kashima. Kevin Penkin also returns to compose the music.
Additional staff includes Yusuke Ikeda as Art Director and Takayuki Yamaguchi as Sound Director. The season’s opening and ending themes are performed by NiziU.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime in various regions, including North America and Europe. The first season, which premiered in April 2020, was a part of the Crunchyroll Originals slate.
Tower of God is based on the popular manhwa by SIU, which started on NAVER WEBTOON in 2010 and later on WEBTOON in English in 2014.
The story follows Bam and Rachel, exploring their journey to the top of the tower, where ultimate power and desires await.
