Everything awaits those who ascend to its pinnacle, from riches to fame to unrivaled power. For Twenty-Fifth Bam, life has been confined to the darkness of a cave, a solitary existence illuminated only by a distant light.
His world transforms when Rachel emerges from that light, becoming his closest companion and revealing the mysteries of the outside world. But when Rachel sets out on a journey to climb the Tower, Bam’s universe crumbles. Determined to follow her, he takes off on a quest that defies fate. Thus commences Bam’s odyssey, a tale of a boy who, though not chosen by the Tower, defies its rules to forge his path.
Today, the official channels for Tower of God announced its Japanese premiere on July 7, accompanied by a striking new key visual. Originally crafted by SIU and published on WEBTOON in June 2010, the Tower of God webcomic has since attracted readers, with 14 physical volumes released in Korea. The anime adaptation, produced by Telecom Animation Film and helmed by director Takashi Sano, premiered in April 2020.
The Tower of God anime boasts a talented team behind its creation, with Kazuyoshi Takeuchi as Chief Director and Akira Suzuki as Director. Erika Yoshida leads the series composition alongside scriptwriters Takeshi Miyamoto and Riuji Yoshizaki. Character designs are brought to life by the collaborative efforts of Miho Tanino, Seigo Kitazawa, and Isamatsu Kashima, with Seigo Kitazawa also serving as Chief Animation Director.
Overseeing the artistic direction are Yusuke Ikeda as the Art Director and Akihiro Hirasawa as the Art Designer, while Reiko Sekine handles the Color Setting. As Director of Photography, Anna Tomisaki captures the visuals, with Yukie Oikawa editing the episodes. Takayuki Yamaguchi takes charge of Sound Direction, and Kevin Penkin provides a charming musical score.
The Answerstudio manages the animation production.
