Ronan Bennett’s Top Boy will be coming out with an exciting 5th and final season soon. Despite being canceled and then revived (by Drake), Top Boy continues to be one of the best shows of its genre.
First released back in October of 2011, Top Boy is a crime drama series that takes place in a fictional place called the Summerhouse estate. Most of the storyline of Top Boy centers on two drug dealers, Dushane and Sully, who start operating their shady business right from the Summerhouse estate.
Throughout the four previous seasons, we’ve seen Dushane and Sully work together, leave each other, turn into enemies, and what not. For this final 5th season of Top Boy, things are only bound to get much more interesting and dramatic for Dushane and Sully.
Aside from Ashley Walters in the role of Dushane Hill and Kane Robinson as Gerard Sullivan (Sully), the cast of Top Boy season 5 will consist of Michael Ward playing Jamie, Jasmine Jobson plays Jaq, Simbi Ajikawo stars in the role of Shelley and Hope Ikpoku Jr. will play Aaron Towell.
Top Boy Season 4 Quick Recap
In Top Boy season 4, we see what happens six months after the dramatic events of season 3, which had Jamie being sent to prison after falling victim to Dushane’s elaborate plan. Now confident in his abilities, Dushane looks forward to increasing his domain within the city, and to do so, he invests large amounts of money in London.
Moreover, Dushane also puts an effort into forming new connections from places like Spain and Morocco, thus guaranteeing a steady source of income. During this time, Dushane’s mother finally gets to know what kind of business her son was involved in.
With time, Jamie makes it out of jail, and along with his group, he starts working at Summerhouse. The only motivation behind Jaime wanting to gain power was so that he could protect his younger siblings. When Jaime gets a chance, he tries to connect with Stefan. However, before they can meet, Jaime is sent off to Spain and Morocco.
Dris’ death left an important spot in Dushane’s team empty, and this place was soon taken up by Jaq. Having seen her sister be abused by her partner from Liverpool, Curtis, it was up to Jaq to figure out a way to rescue her sister before Curtis did any real harm to her or her baby.
After going through some of the worst parts of his life, Sully’s still busy dealing with PTSD. When Sully comes to know about Dushane and Jamie’s partnership, he is not convinced and is extremely suspicious about it. Sully eventually ends up killing Jaime.
Locals of Summerhouse didn’t like the new renovations Dushane was doing. Shelley is one of the main people who oppose it, but meanwhile, she’s busy dealing with a dark past that still haunts her. Shelley even goes as far as helping her ex hide a victim’s body.

Top Boy Season 5 Episode 1 Preview
