An innocent field trip to the towering heights of the Tokyo Tower unleashes a harrowing journey for the students of Class 2-A of Daiba High School. This manga is an unapologetically chilly reminder of the terror that can unfurl when a human is pushed to their breaking point.
It all starts with the bullies of Class 2-A relentlessly bullying their homeroom teacher Masatoshi Yabuuchi. Our protagonist, the Class Representative, Yomi Kanda, intervenes with the bullies but to no avail. His resolute efforts prove futile against the class bullies’ might. However, his twin brother, Yami Kanda, interferes just in time. Yami is consumed with rage against the tormentors of his brother. Thus, he gives the bullies the taste of their own deeds.
It is here that a mysterious phenomenon, Twin Synchronicity, is introduced. It is a strange, inexplicable phenomenon that is observed globally in twins. Whenever one twin sibling is hurt, the other feels similar pain. The brothers Yomi and Yami suffer from this weird phenomenon. However, this is not the only untypical thing about their life. Five years ago, their parents went missing without leaving a trace, and since then, these siblings have only had each other for company.

One fateful day the students go on a field trip to the Tokyo Tower, a day that changes their life upside down. Their teacher has reached a tipping point because of the bullying and humiliation. He has a sinister revelation for the class; the students are doomed as they will be condemned to the harrowing depths of the Tokyo Underworld.
Initially, the students laugh it off, thinking their teacher is playing a cruel joke. Could they be more mistaken? With an insidious grin, Yabuuchi sensei drinks his coffee laced with pesticides and meets his end. But why would he take his own life? The reason is to condemn someone to the Tokyo Underworld murder is essential.
Right before his final moments, the teacher cursed every student of Class 2-A, the ones who humiliated him, the bystanders, and those who couldn’t stop the humiliation. All of them shall receive their uncertain fate at the Tokyo Underworld. What unfolds next is a gut-wrenching ride through the underbelly of Tokyo- The Tokyo Underworld.
Tokyo Underworld Chapter 31 Recap
In the 31st Chapter of Tokyo Underworld, titled “It Begins”, The Executioners Arrive! One of the executioners ridicules Yomi because of his short stature. However, Nobunaga, the rebelling Executioner, arrives just in time. The intimidating Executioner changes his colours, and out of fear and reverence, he stops picking on Yomi.

It is learnt that his name is Kyosuke Izanagi. However, he reeks of an eerie and murky aura. Just as his identity starts causing a ruckus, we understand that Kashiwagi’s fever has shot up. Things are looking grim for him; Izanagi offers to help Kashiwagi, claiming to be a professional doctor; however, he is asked to leave as soon as he has done treating Kashiwagi.
His uncanny aura cannot be discredited as he burns a piece of paper with information about his identity. He is not here to help. He is at the Honnoji Temple to tell out on the rebels, and lo and behold, King Leonidas arrives. The King is not alone. A faction of armed men follow his lead, and a war awaits the rebel inhabitants of Honnoji Temple. With a shocking entry of the Mid-Ranking Executioner Joan of Arc, a game of execution begins.
