The cast keeps growing as Tokyo Demon Bride Story Chapter 9 draws near. At first, it was just Jinta and Manaka along with his step-siblings, but every chapter comes with a new character or works to deepen the connection between the characters at present. The main focus for that is Jinta and Manaka. However, Manaka is unsatisfied with the present stance of their relationship.
She and Jinta made a promise a decade ago, but Jinta was young, and the memory skipped him entirely. But there was more to their meeting as Jinta learned more and more about himself. The biggest shock to him in all this, Manaka isn’t the only one that has come to him, and many would be after his blood.
It was revealed soon that Jinta belonged to a special bloodline that made him highly attractive to Yokai of every kind. It was because of this blood he was able to meet Manaka when young, but it was still dormant at that age. Now that he has matured, his blood is all the more alluring to the demon of every kind. However, this would have been a serious story if the focus was on getting his blood but since it is a rom-com, the story is heading towards the Harem route.

Tokyo Demon Bride Story Chapter 8 had another chapter join the band of characters as one of Manaka’s friends warned her of their next adversary. And Manaka knew she will have a hard time dealing with this one, for they had attended school together. Unfortunately, Manaka was too late to be informed as Jinta had already been kidnapped and his life is at risk. What’s worse, Manaka already envies hers as she has an ability that makes her the best of all the foes she has faced, she can talk to animals.
Jinta got ambushed by a bunch of cats and dragged to a nearby shrine. Not understanding what was happening, the perpetrator introduced themselves and called themselves Myaako. Jinta is shocked to learn how she already knows about him and his blood. Though he didn’t need to worry much as Manako had come to her rescue and told the reader more about Myaako. The first thing we learn about Myaako is that she is a failure, she can’t single thing even if her life depends on it. This is showcased to us by how she is unable to control the cats that she seems to control. They left her in quite a sad state after berating her.
Though heartbroken, Jinta came to console her even though she was after her blood a few minutes ago. Myaako took his kindness for affection and tried to charm Jinta. Seeing this happen before her eyes, Manako dropped all pretense and gave Myaako a beating. However, Jinta didn’t stop her, as he recalled he was doing work before all this began.
