Top British female actors from the second season of Time include Bella Ramsey, Siobhan Finneran, Jodie Whittaker, and Tamara Lawrence. Time, a compelling television series created by Jimmy McGovern and starring Sean Bean as a prisoner named Mark Cobden and Stephen Graham as a troubled prison warden named Eric McNally, had a great deal of success in its first run.
Happy Valley star Siobhan Finneran reprises her role as prison chaplain Marie-Louise in this new series set in a women’s jail. This time, we follow three prisoners who arrive at Carlingford Prison on the same day: Kelsey (Bella Ramsey), Orla (Jodie Whittaker), and Abi (Tamara Lawrance). They are plunged into an unfamiliar environment that is violent, dangerous, and menacing.
The second season of Time portrays a compelling and thrilling picture of life inside a women’s prison. They also discover that, despite their obvious differences, there may be an unexpected sense of unity and understanding. Time, which is recounted from the perspectives of three strikingly different inmates, is a compelling and emotional portrayal of life inside a women’s prison.
A big part of the BBC’s Autumn TV 2023 season is the drama Time, season 2. Every Sunday at 9 p.m. on BBC1, the three-part series may be seen on BBCiPlayer.
Time: Season 2 Filming Locations
Like season 1, the drama’s second installment was mostly shot in Liverpool. For the “exterior” shooting, however, the actors and crew also traveled to Wales for a while. They went to a few women’s jails to make it appear and feel as real as possible. Harkin also liked that he wasn’t restricted to a single area and could play in some “exterior” space.
More About The Show
On the same day, three new arrivals arrive at Carlingford Presbyterian: Abi Cochrane (Tamara Lawrance), a tough life, and adolescent heroin addict Kelsey Morgan (Bella Ramsey). Orla O’Riordanin is a mother of three. When the three are forced to share a cell, their separate tales start to blend as they struggle to survive in a violent and vindictive environment.
With the constant fear of violence within its confines, the three of them must learn to navigate this strange environment. But they all find an unexpected commonality. Not only is the period of incarceration horrifying, but so are the risks that the inmates must face. Would you step up to the plate or calmly accept what comes your way when the chips are down? Even the most seasoned offenders are shivering from the latter.
These were the penalties that one individual, who is undoubtedly not a repeat offender, had to deal with, but in the second season of Time, the new characters might not have to deal with them alone. Time was deemed a success after its debut season in 2021 and was renewed for a second season by the BBC in March 2022.
This announcement was further supported by the accolades the show won at the BAFTAs in May of the same year. Best Mini-Series and Best Leading Actor for Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring) were awarded to the series for their outstanding performances. Time is back, and this time Bella Ramsey plays the lead, so it should be a big hit with the sequel.
Here’s what we currently know about Time Season 2, which is expected to feature a fresh plot, fresh cast members, and a brand-new season.
