‘Through the Darkness’: Cast and Plot

A compelling plot is definitely one of the strongest points of ‘Through the Darkness’. Basing it on personal experiences of a criminal profiler makes it stand out amongst the other dramas of its genre significantly.

Kim Namgil plays Song Hayoung, a criminal profiler at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s (SMPA) Criminal Behaviour Analysis team. Jin Seonkyu plays Gook Youngsoo, the leader of the Criminal Behaviour Analysis team. Kim Sojin takes up the role of Yoon Taegoo, who leads the Mobile Investigation Unit at the SMPA. The story consists of a criminal profiler struggling to understand the intent of a serial killer. As the killer terrorizes the city with unprovoked attacks, the Criminal Behaviour Analysis team at the SMPA tries to prevent more from occurring and tracking down the perpetrator. Kim Namgil is best known for his work in movies Pandora, The Fiery Priest, and Memoir of a Murderer.

Another eye-catching member of the cast is Ryeoun. He is in charge of playing the role of Jung Woojoo. He is a data analyst and gives out various information.
