Warner Bros Discovery was founded on 8th April 2022, after the merger of Discovery Channel with The Warner Bros media house. Warner Bros Discovery is a product of parent company Warner Bros Entertainment Inc., which was founded back in 1923 by Albert Warner, Jack Warner, Harry Warner, and Sam Warner, completing its 100 years this year in 2023. When the company was started on 16th May 2021 with the merger of AT&T and Discovery with WarnerMedia and forming Warner Bros Discovery, it was decided that the new company would spend $20 billion annually for its content.
Davis Zaslav, the Ex-CEO of the Discovery Channel, is the current CEO and the president of Warner Bros Discovery, and Samuel DiPiazza is the company’s chairman. The company launched products like HBO Max and Discovery+, which mainly serves as an OTT platform.
Warner Bros Discovery includes nine different types of business divisions. Its primary sources are Warner Bros. Television Group, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, Home Box Office, Inc., DC Entertainment, CNN Global, and Warner Bro. Discovery Sports, Warner Bros. Discovery U.S. Networks, Warner Bros. Warner Bros. Discovery Unveils Three Exciting HBO Originals in Thailand
Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the release of three new Thai HBO Asia Originals to extend its content slate in Thailand. These three releases include the action-fantasy film “Khun Pan 3,” the entertaining cooking series “Mark Kim + Chef,” and the captivating high-society reality series “Deane’s Dynasty.”
All these productions will be exclusively released on HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery’s regional streaming service, HBO Go, which has a coverage of Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. While release dates for the two series and one film have yet to be announced, fans can look forward to their release shortly.
“Deane’s Dynasty” is a reality TV series that shows the lives of Thai celebrity power couple Lydia and Matthew Deane, along with their personal and Celebrity lifestyles and their everyday challenges. Lydia, also known as Lydia Sarunrat, started her career as a pop singer and later successfully transitioned into acting and fitness influencing. Matthew Deane is a popular Thai-Australian singer, model, actor, and television presenter. The series is produced by 247 Pictures and is deemed to be similar to the Thai version of “The Kardashians.”
“Khun Pan 3” is the latest addition to the popular Khun Pan franchise produced by local studio production house Sahamongkolfilm. The film is set in the year 1950 after World War II and takes viewers on an exciting journey as sorcerer cop Khun Pan accepts another dangerous mission to hunt down two criminals. The film is directed and written by Kongkiat Komesiri. It has talented actors Ananda Everingham, Phakin Khamwilaisak, Mario Maurer, Bhumibhat Thavornsiri, Sarika Sathsilpsupa, Philip Thinroj, Chidjun Hung, and Chalad Na Songkhla starring in the film. The dates are not yet announced, but the previous seasons “Khun Pan 1” and “Khun Pan 2”, can be streamed on HBO Go.
“MarkKim + Chef” depicts the soon-to-be-married Thai TV personalities Kimberley Anne Woltemas and Mark Prin Suparat as they embrace a culinary adventure. In this delightful series, the adorable couple with no cooking experience will learn to cook for each other like professional chefs over ten fun-filled episodes. They will be taught by some of Thailand’s most prominent celebrity chefs. Produced by IFA Media, the show promises entertaining moments and delicious food recipes in the kitchen.
