In the previous episode, we see Ivy’s unexpected journey and how she used her skills to survive in a new and tough existence. Armed with her previous experience, Ivy skillfully followed field mice in search of food. However, she met multiple giant ants, which made things difficult. She showed her capacity to deal with the dangers of this fantastical realm by climbing a tree and avoiding harmful insects.
Ivy was anxious about getting to Otolwa and realized she had to gather a lot of potions for Sora, her traveling companion. She stopped in a village to restock on supplies along the road and saw something shocking: posters with her face on them with a reward of 500 Dal. In this mysterious world, Ivy had knowingly turned into an outsider.
A butcher at Latoto Village, not far away, gave Ivy 100 dal in return for her mouse hunt prizes. She used her little money to buy herself some bread and found comfort in the kind group.
Though she was able to gather enough trash to last Sora a while, her peace was short-lived as she went into a dump in search of potions. Her next buy of bread was made with the 250 dals she received after another hunting journey.
Recap
In the second episode of “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash,” Ivy continues with her adventure in a foreign land. Using her survival skills from a previous life, she hunts field mice for food. But when she comes upon some giant ants, things start to get challenging.
Ivy quickly shows that she can manage the dangers of this new world by climbing a tree to get away from them. As she overlooks the village of Otolwa, Ivy realizes she needs more potions for her friend, Sora. She decides to pause and ask for directions when she comes across a village on her journey.
Here, she discovers posters featuring her picture along with a 500 Dal reward for capturing it. Ivy understands that in this new she has become wanted. In Latoto Village, Ivy makes a smart choice by giving the local butcher 100 dal in exchange for the mice she got. She wants a little comfort, so she buys bread from the town bakery. During this little rest, Ivy thinks about the pleasure it would be to live in Latoto permanently.
Trouble however appears when Ivy notices adventurers traveling to Latoto from the trash site close to Latomi. Ivy leaves the village before getting more potions since her face is plastered all over the town in wanted posters. Ivy seems unfazed and keeps traveling, stopping at a river covered with fruit trees to collect food and water. But when an aggressive tree monster attacks her, her peace of mind is disturbed.
This monster is very dangerous because it killed two adventurers. Ivy cuts her left wrist badly while attempting to run away. She collapses in her lack of potions, with Sora protecting her. Ivy faces some unexpected challenges in this episode, showing her strength and grit in this dangerous world. Ivy’s journey takes unforeseen turns as she travels the effects of being wanted.
Although it may appear straightforward, having such a skill is a must for anyone trying to survive in a dangerous world. When she comes into a group of giant ants, her resourcefulness is put to the test. As she quickly climbs a tree to get away, Ivy shows her ability to adjust to the challenges of her new surroundings rather than freaking out.
She finds a village while traveling and chooses to pause for supplies. Here, she finds wanted posters that feature her image, indicating that she is now on the run. This complicates Ivy’s trip even further because she now has to avoid being captured in addition to surviving in this strange unfamiliar setting.
It’s a smart move for Ivy to exchange the mice she caught for dal with the neighborhood butcher in Latoto Village. This shows her capacity to make the most use of the resources at her reach. She wants a little comfort, so she buys bread from the town bakery.
Ivy observes her surroundings and says she would like to move permanently to Latoto for this brief period. The peace though is short when Ivy sees explorers traveling to Latoto from the trash site close to Latomi. Her face appears on many wanted posters across the town, suggesting that she has to leave quickly.
Ivy’s journey takes on more urgency as a result of her difficulty in staying still for a long time. Undeterred by the challenges, Ivy continues her journey and stops by a river with fruit trees to gather food and water. We are excited to see what happens in the next episode.
