Shiro’s death will bring a lot of changes in Rimuru and in the village. Now that Rimuru devoured Shiro and Ifrit, he doesn’t only get a human body, he also gets Ifrit’s fire. However, there are still a lot of things that Rimuru doesn’t know about. In That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime episode 9, we will see a set of new characters that will give Rimuru a hard time in battle.
Testing the new power he got, Rimuru transformed into Shiro and made a clone of himself. Although the result is quite satisfying, he needed to test more of his new skills. That’s why he went out of the village using his human form and checked the village before making his way to the patrollers. Lending Ranga to Rigur and his man, he went and practiced his skills for hours inside a cave. However, when Rimuru finally returned to his men, all of them were down except Rigur and Ranga.
It turns out that six ogres have seen Rimuru’s mask and have mistaken him to be one of those who massacred their village. Rimuru will easily defeat the half of the ogres, but he will be surprised when an older man will cut his arm. The old ogre ordered the others to retreat with the Ogre Princess. When the old ogre and another one chose to stay and fight, Rimuru decided to make his point all at once. He created a black sphere as big as Frieza’s planet buster.
And with that, he finally made his point that he is not one of those who attacked the ogre’s village. The mask he’s wearing is just a memento from Shiro. Convincing the ogres to come to their village, Rimuru will offer the ogre chief to stay in the village. The Ogre chief will think about it, but will finally accept the offer in the morning, and all of them were given names: Benimaru, Shuna, Shion, Hakuro, Soei, and Kurobei.
