Chris Pratt is returning as James Reece in The Terminal List Season 2, and Prime Video has now given fans their first look at the next chapter of the action-thriller series. The newly revealed images arrive ahead of the show’s worldwide return, nearly five years after its first season became a major hit for the streaming service. The second season will premiere all eight episodes on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories.
Season 2 moves beyond the revenge story that defined the original series and expands Reece’s journey into a globe-spanning espionage thriller. Based on Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer, the new season follows Reece as he searches for a new purpose after completing the mission that drove him in Season 1. His latest mission will take him across several regions while exposing a conspiracy connected to both global powers and his own family history.
What to Expect From The Terminal List Season 2
The Terminal List Season 2 sees James Reece pulled into an international conspiracy stretching from Moscow to Langley. The story will take the former Navy SEAL through the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe as he becomes entangled in a dangerous new conflict.
The season adapts True Believer, which changes the scale of Reece’s story while retaining the character’s psychological and emotional struggles. Instead of simply pursuing revenge, Reece must find a new purpose while confronting threats that have implications far beyond his personal life.
Chris Pratt returns alongside several familiar cast members, including Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry. Gabriel Luna joins the returning cast as Freddy Strain, while Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, and Shiraz Tzarfati are among the expanded international ensemble.
The series is continuing its emphasis on military authenticity. Former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and former Army Ranger Max Adams oversee the show’s action and authenticity work, while military veterans remain involved as writers, performers, technical advisers, and directors. Former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, known for Warfare, is also among the veterans contributing to the production.
The creative team includes Chris Pratt, Antoine Fuqua, David DiGilio, and Jack Carr as executive producers, alongside Shaw and Adams. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media, the franchise has reportedly reached more than 100 million viewers worldwide to date.
With its international setting, expanded cast, and adaptation of True Believer, The Terminal List Season 2 is positioned as a significantly larger continuation of James Reece’s story. All eight episodes will arrive on Prime Video on October 21, 2026.
