The beloved medical drama, The Resident, has started airing new episodes weekly. In case you missed it, yes, the show is back for another season with more drama and tension surrounding the staff. The Resident Season 6 premiered on 20th September 2022, and four episodes have already been aired to date. After an amazing and heartfelt season five, fans had been waiting for another dose of their favorite show. And, this season dropped just in time. An American medical drama TV series, The Resident, was renewed for the sixth season on 16th May 2022.
Within a few months following the renewal announcement, the latest season started airing. Based on the book Unaccountable by Marty Makary, The Resident, the series is created by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore, and Roshan Sethi. Matt Czuchry plays the titular resident role. Matt is seen as Conrad Hawkins in this medical drama. He is the resident who was previously a senior resident internist, but later, he began working as the chief resident at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital.

The Resident Season 6 Episode 5: What’s Happening In The Show?
The Resident focuses mainly on the lives and duties of the staff members working at this hospital. But, along with their lives, we also get a deeper look into the bureaucratic practices of the hospital industry.
The show has taught us to expect the unexpected, so we are definitely not expecting anything at all at this point. The first episode of The Resident Season 6, titled Two Hearts, was aired on 20th September, Tuesday. In the first episode, Conrad makes a tough decision regarding his love life. Meanwhile, Devon leads his own clinical trials at the hospital. Additionally, when a complication threatens to take a dangerous turn in Padma’s pregnancy, all the doctors unite to find an appropriate solution quickly. They turn to Ian to perform a miracle again this time.
In the following episodes, the drama heated things up again. Conrad dealt with an aggressive patient. Apart from this patient, multiple victims arrived at the hospital as well, leading to a busy day for the doctors and others. Later a gunshot victim entered the emergency room, which led to several doctors working on him. Ian was asked to take a mandatory drug test. Not only that, Padma had a huge day ahead of her too. She prepared for her cesarean section. Ian, who had been struggling with his personal issues, had to perform surgery on a patient. Conrad had to take a few hours off from work to spend a day with Gigi.
The Resident Season 6 Episode 5: Release Date
The upcoming episode will follow Conrad, who takes a patient into the ER. As he admits the college professor, he will learn that the man is a former patient of his from when he was working as an intern. On the other side, Devon will admit a man who swears to know the answer to eternal life. It will be a stressful day at work for these two that will leave us clutching the seats. Nevertheless, we are quite impatient to watch this new episode.
The Resident Season 6 episode 5 is titled A River In Egypt. This episode will air soon, on 18th October 2022, Tuesday. The run time of this episode will be the same as the previous episodes. All the episodes of The Resident run for forty-three to forty-five minutes. There hasn’t been any official announcement but it’s believed that this season might feature twenty to twenty-three episodes as well. But we are still waiting for the official news to confirm all the speculations.
