Moving on with The Rampage’s controversy, it all happened during their performance of the new song- SOLDIER LOVE. The J-pop fans pointed out their Nazi salute and didn’t appear to like the gesture. Here is everything we know.
The Rampage Controversy Explained Following The Nazi Salute
Before getting into the choreography controversy, one must note the backlash that the group sparked previously. The lyrics of the song “SOLDIER LOVE” have the word “Kamikaze.” To the newbies, that is the part of the Japanese Special Attack Units of military aviators. However, that part of the song was deleted from the broadcast version. People found it in its original version.
Now, concerning the Nazi salute, The Rampage members shared that they didn’t mean it but a coincidence. No doubt, people enjoyed their live vocals and performance overall, except for that part. It was reported that the group’s agency, LDH is a firm believer of the far-right wing ideologies.
The Rampage fans took the discussion on different social media platforms. One person wrote, “So, it was either that they didn’t study history properly or they ignored their history.” Another wrote, “The choreography looked not cool at all. It’s pathetic.” It seemed like the J-pop group was doomed.
If you are also very much into K-pop, you must note that Korean citizens would criticize if any idol from their country did any such act.
We wonder if you noticed the stage floor. It had a design that was resemblance to Waffen-SS. It is an organization of the German Nazi Party.
On this note, many people claimed that the German people are also ashamed of the history. So, they wondered why The Rampage glorified it again. In other words, most of the people found it crazy.
