Kate Middleton and Prince William joined the royal family on The Christmas day for their traditional Christmas day church outing. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was seen with their parents for the royal walk.
The kids always add some extra holiday cheers and they seemed to be really happy throughout. The children stole the complete show when they joined their parents and grandparents, King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the royal family’s annual Christmas morning walk for church services.
Each year, the royals attend the service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk. The family of the Prince and Princess of Wales coordinated in a green and blue outfit for the event.
Kate wore a blue coat and hat which she accessorized with sapphire earrings while William and George were also in primarily blue. Charlotte sported a green coat meanwhile, Louis tied the family together with green and blue tartan pants and blue coat.
Princess Charlotte was seen holding hands of her mother as they headed to church with Prince George beside her. Prince Louis walked with Prince William and Mia Tindall who is the daughter of Prince William’s cousin.
It is for the second time that the Prince and Princess of Wales have stepped out as a family of five with their children for the Christmas event. Prince Louis made his Christmas Day debut in 2022, while Prince George and Princess Charlotte made debut in 2019.
How the Royals Celebrate the Christmas Day
The royal family, all together steps out for the walk to church services every year. This is the second time the whole family along with Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children attended the church.
In 2020 and 2021 COVID-19 pandemic precautions forced the royals to celebrate the holiday without the normal festivities , Prince Louis joined his family for the first time last year.
Earlier on the Christmas Day, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton shared the family’s Christmas picture. The black-and-white snap shows Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sitting together on a bench, with Princess Charlotte in the middle putting her arms around her siblings. Prince George gives a smile to the camera, while Prince Louis swings his leg and looks off-camera.
In one of the pictures, Prince and Princess of Wales are seen standing with their three little ones. The royal siblings wear the same outfits, matching white button-down shirts and coordinating shoes for Louis and Charlotte.
Christmas in the royal family is always bringing together all the family members from different parts . In one of the interaction with Prince William, he told that for him Christmas is the festivity that brings family together.
It is the day family members get to greet and meet each other. He also said that it is very special when his children get to meet his cousin’s kids and play with them.
Prince William and Princess Kate’s children got into the spirits of the Christmas earlier this year as they attended their mother’s third annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey. Before entering, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis walked over to the mailbox and placed envelopes inside.
This year, children were encouraged to send homemade Christmas cards to other kids who are struggling. The royal kids followed the ritual and placed envelopes that was written by them.
It is the tradition for the royal family to gather at Sandringham for Christmas. On 24 December, the royal family will have an afternoon tea and exchange gag gifts. After their church outing on Christmas Day, they greets the well-wishers gathered outside.
Then the family heads back to Sandringham House for a traditional feast of turkey before watching the monarch’s Christmas speech broadcast on TV.
