The Whitehouse is a place of hidden secrets, with Victoria, Eli, and other people all having aspirations to become powerful. The Oval, starring Tyler Perry, premiered a new season earlier in October of this year, and the situation at the White House couldn’t have gotten worse.
The Oval is a political drama that centers on the lives of the president’s family and every employee at the establishment. The existence of a family in power is rarely calm, filled with both overt and covert betrayals.
The Oval’s fifth season begins to emphasize the supporting cast members more, including Nancy, Eli, and the others. This season’s returning cast members are Russell Thomas as Eli, Daniel stars as Jason, Ed Quinn as Hunter, and Kron Moore as Victoria.
Hunter’s butler will also be returning, with Ptosha Storey portraying his wife, Nancy, and Javon Johnson playing Richard Hallsen. Hunter resigns from his position as president in Season 5, and Eli will assume the presidency in his place.
Recap
Victoria is confronted by Donald on her covert plans for Eli. He believed Victoria would take action and didn’t want Eli to read the accounts of what happened in the Whitehouse before them. Victoria wants him to go since she doesn’t think he’s interesting.
After speaking with Eli, Bobby and Max are given distinct assignments. Eli requests that Max and Kyle keep an eye on the president. When Alonzo arrives at Lilly’s house, she tells him to go before her husband hurts him in any manner.
Donald requests that Hunter receive treatment from the physician more quickly. The physician informs him that rushing into therapies could worsen his organ damage and make recovery impossible.
Given that Hunter is under threat of being killed, Donald makes sure that Victoria and the others won’t be allowed to see him until after he has recovered completely.
Donald informs the newly appointed First Lady of Victoria’s plans during their meeting. He thinks there’s a good chance Victoria and Eli are collaborating, and he wants her to know about it.
Victoria gives Eli a call and requests to get together. After coming back, Nancy is in a crazy state, and Richard tries to calm her down. Nancy is aware of something that she can only divulge once her mental state has stabilized.
Nancy is in a peculiar state now that Highest has left her, acting as though she is experiencing some kind of trauma while being hyperactive. This suggests that she has most likely seen something sinister regarding Barry.
Victoria did everything in her power to ensure her safety and security, but now that Hunter is aware of her and Eli’s plans, she may need to devise an alternative strategy.
While Jason plans his escape and tries to hide his identity from the Rakudushi, Victoria and Eli tighten their hold on presidential authority, and Hunter unleashes his fury on Alonzo.
As Jason comes to terms with the fact that he can no longer hide, Hunter discovers Victoria in a precarious situation, and Dale helps Allan, who may be involved in a larger plot.
Spoilers
The title of the new episode is “Exit Wound.” Kareem is taken against his will from the hospital to confront Hunter once and for all after Hunter makes fidelity-related claims that have the potential to completely upend the district.
