Recap
The reporters also rejoice in Mugyeol’s victory as they were also present in the audience. Gijoo stands atop his seat and praises the final Brazilian kick used by Mugyeol. Hyemin takes a moment to fathom what she just saw and then she tells her analysis of the whole match.
Hyemin says that Mugyeol’s victory is truly unbelievable, but what’s more unbelievable is Mugyeol’s insane endurance because he was able to trade punches with Kangjoo without getting pushed back. She further adds that Mugyeol analyzed Kangjoo’s attack patterns mid-fight and countered in such a way that he took less damage while also attacking his opponent.
Hyemin adds that Kangjoo’s punches are on another level, so it wouldn’t have been a surprise if Mugyeol got knocked out in the middle of the fight, but Mugyeol still chose to take those punches head-on which allowed him to force Kangjoo into a defensive position.
After thinking about everything that Mugyeol showcased in this fight, Hyemin wonders if Mugyeol is a newly rising fighter.
Despite all the confusion, One thing becomes clear to Hyemin, and that is the fact that Mugyeol is truly a monster-grade fighter. Back to the octagon, Mugyeol walks up to Kangjoo and helps him get up. He then asks Kangjoo if he’s feeling okay, and the commentator marks this moment as a true display of sportsmanship.
Kangjoo laughs and praises Mugyeol, but Mugyeol argues that he isn’t that good. Kangjoo appreciates Mugyeol’s humble nature, but he also asks him to be ready as he will challenge him for the belt in the future. Mugyeol smiles and tells Kangjoo that he’s well prepared, but he doesn’t think that there would be any challenge.
Mugyeol then meets up with his coach, who is also obviously happy with his student’s performance. After a while, the time for the announcement of the winners arrives.
Younggil steps into the octagon with an annoyed face as he has to pass on the light heavyweight champion belt to Mugyeol. The Commentator also takes this moment to announce that Mugyeol is the first fighter in the history of RFC who has won and has become the champion of two weight classes.
As Younggil walks towards Mugyeol, he wonders where he went wrong. Younggil thinks back to all of his encounters with Mugyeol and wonders if his fate was doomed the day he decided to tame Mugyeol.
According to the terms of the contract, if Mugyeol had lost even one of his fights, then Younggil would have got him, but Mugyeol managed to somehow win all of his matches till now and even dethrone two of the champions.
Younggil just hands over the belt to Mugyeol and starts walking away, but Mugyeol holds his hand to put on a displaying for the audience. Mugyeol takes the mic and tells the audience about how he feels after getting the belt. He then proceeds to thank Younggil for giving him this opportunity and bows down to him.
Younggil gets shocked by this sudden change in Mugyeol’s attitude, but he thinks that it’s for the better. Sadly for Younggil, his happiness doesn’t last long as Mugyeol takes this opportunity to announce that he’s going to fight in the heavyweight category now.
The audience was already excited by this match, and Mugyeol’s announcement just made them even more excited. Younggil tries to stop the announcement, but he fails to do so because Mugyeol has the audience’s support.
The audience demands another title match with Mugyeol in the heavyweight category, and Younggil fails to deny this request as doing so would ruin his reputation.
