Rick and Michonne, two of the most beloved characters from The Walking Dead, are finally making a comeback with a brand-new episode! Yes, years after departing the venerable zombie series, they will be directing a spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
This miniseries takes a look at Rick’s life spanning a number of years after the CRM captured him. Fortunately, he is still working for the CRM and in good health. But their supervisor, Major General Beale, is keeping a close check on our sheriff.
Michonne goes with a group of survivors who give her hope because she never seems to be in Rick’s grasp as she looks far and wide for him, using his abandoned bag as the only clue.

We were aware that this day would arrive. The encounter between Danai Gurira’s Michonne and Andrew Lincoln’s Rick in a Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live sneak peek shown during the TCA winter press tour is most obviously not one of love.
According to Gurira, “We’re not happy,” TVLine. “We appear as though we were about to murder one another.” Comprehendable in light of the events of Sunday’s episode, whereby Rick schemed to return Michonne to Alexandria and Judith without first consulting his spouse.
When Michonne took Rick out of a moving helicopter with her in the final scene, it was clear that something was cooking. However, what? “That is the inquiry,” Gurira states. “There are a lot of questions.” Could they possibly be dead since we didn’t witness them deploy their parachute or fall on the ground? Not at all.
No, Gurira replies, pointing out that the couple is quite noticeable. We do tumble into the water. You know, though—budget. Lincoln continues, “There’s a shot where they fall into the water.” “It moves quickly.”
And it becomes hot water very rapidly. Lincoln remarks, “I would say that [Episode 4] is a reckoning,” to which his leading woman responds, “And it’s time, right?” Lincoln agrees. “Yes, let’s figure out what’s going on.” “Because this is obviously not the previous “Richonne.”
