The story follows the life of a girl from Japan who is reincarnated into a game character after she dies. However, the story is not like your typical reincarnation plot because the soul of the body’s original inhabitor did not vanish.
Even though she became a prisoner in her own body, she could not bear to hold a grudge against the one who did it to her. However, when the world became too cruel, it was she who came to her aid.
Emi was a young girl from Japan who was suffering from an undisclosed illness. After she died, her soul reincarnated into the body of Remila Rosa Graupner, her favorite character from a Romance Novel. Unbeknownst to her, Remila’s soul did not disappear.
She was trapped inside her own body and was royally pissed that something of the sort happened to her. That was when memories and emotions from Emi’s past life passed through her like a lightning bolt. That was enough for Remila to change her mind.
Knowing what’s to come, Emi spends all her time trying to become stronger. She knew that after the star maiden appeared, Remila would have a hard time, according to the plotline.
Because of that, she started connecting with people and being kind to everyone. Before long, Emi’s Remila became a well-known figure known for their strength as well as their kind heart. However, all of them proved useless against Pina Blanche, the star maiden who is also revealed to be a reincarnator.
When Pina wasn’t able to get her way through conventional ways, she resorted to some not-so-conventional ways. She spreads vicious rumors about Emi and uses love potions and charms to increase her likability. It got to the point that she ostracised Emi to the point of despair.
Remila, who was watching all this time, was outraged. When Emi could no longer bear it, she disappeared, allowing Remila to take back control. Remila could still feel Emi’s presence inside her, but it was as if she was in a deep sleep.
Remila wastes no time in plotting her revenge. She was exiled to the countryside, where she began to plot her moves. Remila gets an adventurer’s license and, using Emi’s memories as a reference goes around helping people.
She meets with Demon Merchant Thorne, whom she convinces to relocate to her village. She made her village a haven for demons and other demi-humans alike. She plans to kill the God of Creation, was is the person responsible for all the calamities she has prevented till now.

In the last chapter, Prince Willard is scolded for Pina’s extravagant lifestyle. She uses the annual budget to fund her life as she sees fit, and people voice their concerns.
Willard tries to justify her actions but does so poorly. Pina is implementing ideas from the modern world in this one, and Willard is convinced that her ideas will change the world as he knew it; thus, her lifestyle is justified as she is bound to bring in untold riches in the future.
The scene then shifts to Remila, who is watching Willard talk using her spider companions. She is watching Willard and Calude talk. Claude is her stepbrother, whom she was very close to before Pina. But now we see him telling Willard that his breaking his engagement with Remila was a good decision.
Remila decides to check on Sophia, whom she sent to the demon continent. She seems to be having the time of her life. All pieces of the puzzle are falling into place, and Remila exclaims that it won’t be long before she can take revenge on the woman who took everything from her.
