The Neighborhood tells the tale of what happens when the kindest guy in the Midwest moves his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone appreciates his extraordinary generosity.
The Michigan native Dave Johnson and his family don’t appear to mind that their new dream home is located in a distant area from their small town. However, their acerbic next-door neighbor Calvin Butler is wary of the newcomers, fearing that they would destroy the neighborhood’s culture.
Even though Dave is having more difficulty adjusting to their new neighborhood than he had anticipated, if he can build a rapport with Calvin, they have a decent chance of making it their permanent home.

We are aware that The Neighborhood will have a limited run this season, but this is true of almost every network program this year. The previous year’s industry strikes caused significant delays in the schedule, and it is the fault of the AMPTP to not have reached a just agreement earlier.
Regarding the long-term future of this show or any other, this is meaningless; decisions about that will be made for several other reasons. What can we expect from the story in episode 4? Let’s just say that the overview that follows helps you understand it better, and it includes Calvin needing to make some significant changes in his life:
“Welcome to Grandfatherhood”: Malcolm is considering changing careers, while Calvin is getting used to growing older and the various phases of parenthood. When Grover’s partner Lamar (Kevin Pollak) shows up, Gemma and Dave are forced to relinquish some control over THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
