The Naked Director Season 2

The Naked Director Season 2 is finally coming to our screens as the show returns after 3 years. All Japanese series fans can give out a sigh of relief as their wait is finally over with the show coming to Netflix in a few days. The Naked Director is a semi-biographical comedy-drama show that has been based on the non-fiction novel “Zenra Kantoku” by Nobuhiro Motohashi. The book itself was based on a real person Muransihi Toru. He was a director of adult videos who was also known as the “Emperor of Porn”. Co-directed by Masaharu Take and Kotaro Goto, The Naked Director takes us through the journey of his early career strides in Japan in the 1980s. This just seems to have worked with the viewers as it became a hit, airing in 190 countries with it being subtitled in 28 languages and dubbed in 12 languages.

The Naked Director follows Muranishi in the 1980s Japan when the adult video industry was frowned upon. Within this, Muranishi decides to become the Emperor of the industry after he finds his wife with another man. Earlier, he used to be a door-to-door salesman selling Encyclopedias, but then he discovers how his wife was unsatisfied with him as she would have relations with other men. So, Muranishi embarks on a journey to become an adult video director by making use of several innovative techniques. Soon enough, Muranishi became a cult figure as he was respected by people in the rebellious past of Japan.

Plot for Naked Director Season 2?

The plot of The Naked Director Season 2 carries over from Season 1 as Muranishi is at the summit of the adult video world. The videos he has directed are sold more than $100 million worth in a year. But even so, he is not satisfied with this progress considering he did not reach the legendary status of “I Like It S&M Style”. This was the masterpiece he had produced with Kuroki Kaoru.
