The hype surrounding “The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior” anime just increased with the reveal of additional cast members and ending theme song artists. The website for the anime revealed an additional cast who voices five members of the Freesian knightly order. This story takes the popular trope of reincarnation into an otome game and turns it on its head with a twist! The series started off as a light novel written by Tenchi and debuted in April 2018 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. Later in 2019, it was officially published by Ichijinsha with illustrations handled by Suzunosuke.
The series then got a manga adaptation, illustrated by Bunko Matsuura, which was serialized on the Zero-Sum Online website from March 2020 to March 2022, and the anime adaptation was announced in October 2022. The fans have different forms of media to experience and enjoy this series. HIDIVE, along with local Japanese networks such as Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11, will stream the anime when it premieres in July of this year.

The Plot and Characters of The Anime
Pride Royal Ivy, at the young age of 8, was reincarnated as the final boss of an otome game, destined to become the wicked Queen. As with any other isekai, we’re not surprised this anime features reincarnation.
Pride realizes she possesses exceptional qualities- sharp wit, incredible powers, and an influential position as the crown princess. However, instead of embracing her role as a malevolence reborn, she despises the rotten future ahead of her. Why should she bring death and destruction upon the land?
Determined to defy the set future, Princess Pride flips the script entirely. She throws away her villainess plan and takes the route of protecting the male love interests. Who said the final boss had to be wicked? Will she be able to rewrite her destiny and become the unlikely heroine of her own story? We’ll only know when we watch the anime in July!

The newly announced cast includes Roderick, the knight-marshal voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto, and Clark, the vice-marshal of the knights voiced by Toshihiko Seki. Callum, knight-commander of the third company. Eric, the knight of the first company, voiced by Takuma Nagatsuka, and finally, Alan, knight-commander of the first company, voiced by Hiro Shimono.
The remaining cast includes Ai Fairouz voicing Pride, Maaya Uchida voicing Steyr, Haruka Tomatsu voicing Tiara, Junya Enoki voicing Arthur, Kikuko Inoue voicing Freesia’s Queen Rosa, Toshiyuki Morikawa voicing Freesia’s Prince Albert and to complete the cast, Koji Yusa voicing Gilbert.
The villain turned heroine, Princess Pride, is aware of the cruel actions of the previous wicked Queen in the game and tries to stay away from it, saving lives and walking towards a better future. Despite their youth, Pride and Steyr show maturity mainly due to their royal upbringing. Pride becomes overpowered thanks to her cheat skill which grants her political and combat prowess. The story has potential, and the male lead remains unknown, but overall, only the anime can show us the levels the series can reach.
