The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior is actually a light novel series written by Tenichi. The story was so popular that it was adapted into a manga that was illustrated by Bunko Matsuura and serialized on Ichijinsha’s Zero-Sum Online website from March 19, 2020, to March 18, 2022.
However, the manga was canceled mid-way due to the bad health of the illustrator, and there is the word of a new adaptation being discussed. The plot of the story has captivated the interest of a lot of people across the globe, and fans have eagerly waited for the anime community to pick it up.
The main protagonist is Pride Royal Ivy, who has been reincarnated and is destined to become the future wicked queen who also happens to be the final boss of an otome game. Yes, the protagonist has literally reincarnated as a video game character. It is a very generic plot that has been followed by most of the reincarnation stories, but this series surely brings something new to the table.
Pride decides to drop the maniacal evil plan and decides that she is going to save the life of as many people as possible, including the male lead. Thus, begins her work of navigating through the different hurdles and executing her plan. It is a very interesting story, and even though the same premise can be seen in other reincarnation stories, this one is still unique in its own way.

There was a previous announcement that stated some of the cast members, including Ai Fairouz as Pride, Maaya Uchida as Steyr, and Haruka Tomatsu as Tiara. The newest announcement reveals some of the additional cast members who will be taking part in the project.
It includes Junya Enoki as Arthur, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Albert, Kikuko Inoue as Rosa, and Koji Yusa as Gilbert. Visual images of the characters have also been revealed along with the cast, and fans are hyped for the anime to ultimately air. Apart from that, Norio Nitta is acting as the director, along with Deko Akao as the script supervisor.
The music is being composed by a group of talented artists, namely, Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Junko Nakajima. Last but not least, Hitomi Kono is responsible for the character designer. Looking at the visuals of the characters released, it seems that he is excelling at his job. Fans are waiting with anticipation for the anime to premiere in July 2023.
