The Max-Level Player’s 100th Regression chapter 30 opens up with Seunghan and Seokyun coming face to face. Seokyun is furious at Seunghan because of the events that have happened in the past. Seeing how Seunghan smacked Seokyun in the groin with a metal pipe and even let his hostage run away, Seokyun has all right to be angry, but being angry won’t guarantee his safety.

In a fit of rage, Seokyun gets up and starts cussing at Seunghan and even threatens to kill him for what he did. Instead of being scared by such threats, Seunghan gets rather amused as he considers that it wouldn’t have been fun if Seokyun had just admitted defeat without even trying to retaliate. Seokyun gets even more angry after seeing Seunghan smiling at him, so he rushes to attack him.
To his surprise, Seokyun fails to land even a single blow on Seunghan because Seunghan easily dodges all his attacks. Seunghan takes pity on Seokyun because he notices that he’s still using a tiny goblin dagger. To put him out of his misery, Seunghan just cuts off Seokyun’s hand so that he won’t have to use a dagger anymore. What a kind gentleman.
Seokyun writhes in pain, but Seunghan says that he’s just overreacting because he hasn’t even started yet. Seunghan dashes forward and cuts Seokyun’s other hand, too. Seokyun now realizes that he can’t fight back and that he will die if this fight drags on for long. Seeing no way out of this fight, Seokyun uses the ace up his sleeve, and that is the blinding technique.
Seokyun uses his technique, but surprisingly, it doesn’t even activate. He starts sweating heavily because if this technique fails, then he’s pretty much doomed.
The reason why Seokhyun’s technique didn’t work is that Seunghan used the Night of Death technique before entering the area. Night of Death is a technique that doesn’t permit any light in its domain, which makes it a perfect counter to Seokhyun’s powers.
Seunghan dashes forward once again and cuts down both ankles of Seokhyun this time. This move may be brutal, but according to Seunghan, it’s just safety measures. With nothing left to fight back, Seokhyun resorts to the oldest trick in the book, and that is crying.
Seokyhun cries and asks Seunghan why he’s doing all this, but instead of a proper answer, Seunghan just replies that he’s just killing bugs. Seunghan further adds that if he doesn’t kill bugs, then they will just cause harm to people. The way Seunghan replies so casually makes Seokyhun believe that Seunghan is a literal psychopath.
Seunghan continues to attack Seokhyun to beat that attitude out of him, and eventually, he succeeds. Seokhyun lies on the ground with several wounds on his back, and he wonders what he did to go through something so painful, to suffer so much. Seeing no way out of this brutal torture, Seokhyun decides that he should just kill himself and escape this hell.
Seokhyun tries to bite his tongue, but Seunghan catches him doing that. Seunghan slashes Seokhyun even more and leaves him in excruciating pain. The pain becomes so extreme that Seokhyun finally begs Seunghan to just kill him and free him from his misery.
Seunghan thinks that this is enough torture, and so he finally explains everything to Seokhyun, including his reasons for beating Seokyun so much. Seunghan also explains the rune stone to Seokhyun. In the end, Seunghan managed to get the rune of inner thoughts because Seokhyun begged him for his life in his true voice.
