Matrix 3/The Matrix Revolutions Ending Explained- Why Does Neo Want To Meet Deus Ex Machina?
The third installment of the original Matrix trilogy has left the audience wondering about the film series main protagonist’s death. The Matrix Revolutions 2003 concludes with Neo traveling to the Machine City with his love Trinity in Niobe’s hovercraft ship, the Logos, in an attempt to form a truce with Deus Ex Machina and end the war. However, their trip does not go as plan. While on route to the city, they get ambushed by Bane. Leaving no option, Neo has to fight with Bane. Neo gets blinded by an exposed power cable during the scrimmage with Bane.
Furthermore, that does not stop him, and he discovers he still has the ability to see the machine source code in the real world. This ability enables Neo to see and eventually helping him to defeat Bane. Meanwhile, the Logos makes it into the city. Neo has to go on his own way since Trinity gets fatally injured upon arrival. Moving on, Neo finally meets Deus Ex Machina and suggests a truce between humans and the machines. He also adds a condition of defeating Agent Smith, their common antagonist possessing a direct threat to both the Matrix and the Real World.
Do Neo Die In Matrix 3 Ending?
This time victory comes under his name as Neo defects Agent Smith successfully. But that does not seem easy. Neo sacrifices himself by commanding the machines to surge his body with energy in the real world. That causes the connection between him and Agent Smith to turn into a more dangerous channel, destroying both of them and Smith’s clones as well. However, fate seems to plan something else as his body is cradled on a hovering barge, which afterward moves him into the heart of the Machine City. The Sentinels stop their attack on the human city of Zion since Neo’s treaty is fulfilled, which is Agent Smith’s defeat. The Sentinels were originally the human-hunting killing machines. However, due to Neo’s treaty, they retreat from the human city of Zion. It also shows that the Matrix reboots itself in the track of Neo’s sacrifice.
The Architect Faces The Oracle At The Ending Of Matrix Revolutions
At the ending of Matrix 3, we see The Architect meets the Oracle in a park where he tells her she played a dangerous game. It seems she introduces the variable of Trinity into the Matrix latest incarnation of the cyclically recurring system and plans for this outcome in advance. The significant link to the present event is attached to the ending of The Matrix Reloaded. At ending, The Architect had explained to Neo that there had been six different iterations of the Matrix, created to imprison humanity. Also, to assimilate the human race’s drive for resistance into the self-eternizing cycle of its existence.
It was done to wipe out all humans from the Matrix between iterations before creating a new generation of resistance fighters led by a different ‘One.’ Here, it explains what makes Neo different from all previous Ones that is his love of humanity. It reveals that the love of humanity is constant across all his predecessors. However, he was focused on only one person that is Trinity. That made him not continue the cycle of disruption formed into the Matrix but rather prioritize her life at the ending of the second installment, The Matrix Reloaded.
The Difference Between The Oracle And The Architect Prospectives
Furthermore, The Architect and The Oracle seem to view many things in the same yet different manner. Like The Architect, The Oracle is also a program, but both possess different natures. Whereas the Oracle was designed as a human intuitive program to understand humankind, the Architect was designed as the creator of the Matrix. While the Architect looks at the world in an only binary sense, the Oracle does not. The Architect believes in an unavoidable and definite structure of choice. However, the Oracle understands the variation of human behavior since she is also close to them. That leads to Neo choosing his own path. This human peculiarity becomes an integral part of Neo’s success at the Matrix 3 ending.
What Is The Real Identity Of The Little Girl, Sati?
Moving back to the ending of Matrix 3, The Oracle and The Architect get on the same page that any human who wishes to leave The Matrix will have the authority to do so. After all, the truce will last ‘as long as it can.’ Seraph, her bodyguard, and Sati approach The Oracle. Sati is a little self-aware program that the Oracle adopted earlier in the film as a child. Sati is a program without a purpose, which makes her marked as an omission. However, because of Neo’s sacrifice, the Matrix excels, suffering ending, and conditional peace shapes between the humans and the machines.
That makes Sati the first program produced out of hybridization of programming and human emotion. It also signifies that more creations like her may reproduce in the future. Sati asks if Neo will ever be seen again at the end of Matrix Revolutions. The Oracle replies she suspects so, someday indicating she thinks they will see Neo again. Also, when Seraph asks The Oracle whether she knew this would happen, she replies that she did not know, but she believed. Which leads to the promise of Matrix 4. The Matrix Resurrections aka Matrix 4, is coming to the theatre on 22 December 2021! Do not forget to mark the date!
