The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 15 is set to release this weekend. A television series based on Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer was broadcast on NAZ in 2022. Nobuaki Nakanishi directed the series, and Satoshi Mizukami, the original author, penned the story alongside Yachihiro Momose. Originally, NAZ wrote the story, with the soundtrack composed by Takatsugu Wakabayashi.
In the series, Yuuhi Amamiya, a Beast Knight, assists a princess in fighting a mage with the Biscuit Hammer, a massive hammer that aims to wipe out humanity. An enchanted lizard climbs up Yuuhi’s bed, revealing that he had intended to destroy the world by himself. The intention of Yuuhi to destroy the world is altered by Samidare Asahina’s desire to eradicate the mage and preserve it.
The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 14 Review
Despite the cliffhanger last episode, the payoff was kinda disappointing. While the animation was pretty awful, the emotional investment I got in that OST and Tarou’s memory got me goosebumps. That scene where Hanoko yelled out her special technique gave me goosebumps. Honestly, I didn’t expect Yayoi to confess to Yuuhi and declare war all at the same time. With “Invincible”, it’s hard to stop her from stopping Yuuhi and Sami’s plans now that she’s gained it.
Yuuhi must have been overwhelmed by all that, he fell into his hole. As a result of its intelligence and the fact that it can change shape, this new golem will be a real headache for Hanako. When they met again, I thought it would mess with her, but I guess it just helped her cope with Tarou’s death by letting herself be demolished by her. Also, everyone else gained some closure as a result. As far as Hanako is concerned, she doesn’t care about anything.
She flushes Kir down because she doesn’t want to fight anymore, she goes through the rain because she just doesn’t want to worry about staying dry she’s feeling Tarou’s loss, in her way. Yuuhi falling into his trap is petty and embarrassing. Mikazuki is a surprisingly solid brother, and he’s mourning Tarou in his way as well. He even wants Mikazuki to end his suffering, but Mikazuki is trying to put him out of his misery in a caring manner.
Besides being the worst Golem, the 11th is also the first one that can talk and uses its shapeshifting powers to manipulate the Knights by becoming their most precious person to get close…despite the fake Shinonome fooling neither Yuuhi nor Mikazuki. In addition, I sort of laughed at how Mikazuki was the only one bothered by the naked Samidare, not Yuuhi. The real Samidare probably interests Yuuhi more. Childhood friends Hanako and Tarou were close as possible.
Tarou took in any pain Hanako felt to ensure she smiled, and Hanako looked after him like a big sister throughout middle school. When it seemed like Tarou had become stronger and no longer needed her and was leaving her, Hanako became depressed, but he continued to love her despite that. In the end, Yayoi was able to defeat the Golems and it was the Knights working together out of love for Tarou that quickly destroyed the 10th Golem.
I feel as though some of those flashbacks to Tarou’s moments weren’t presented on screen, but the sentiments were still felt. If anyone deserves to finish that thing solo, it’s Hanako. Her unloading of grief and anger onto it as she smashes it with her own hands for taking Tarou away from her was very cathartic to watch, especially as she gave it a name in honor of Tarou. As a tribute to Lance, Kir even pushed her on. In the end, everyone feels the waterworks.
However, if there is anything good to come out of it, Hanako’s fight for Tarou has balanced out the person she killed with her wish, and she can now live her life on her terms, as she seeks to fulfill Tarou’s dream. Hopefully, we’ll get into some Shinonome family stories next week.
