Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have announced physical releases for both seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The first two seasons will be available separately on 4-disc 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD sets on November 3, 2026. Fans looking for a more collectible version can also look forward to Amazon-exclusive limited-edition 4K UHD SteelBook editions arriving on December 1.

The announcement gives viewers a new way to experience the series beyond its streaming home on Prime Video. It also marks an important release for collectors who have been waiting to add the show’s Second Age adventures to their physical-media libraries.

What the Physical Release Includes

The standard editions will contain the complete first and second seasons, with each season presented as a separate four-disc set.

The official announcement also confirms behind-the-scenes bonus content, although a full breakdown of the special features has not yet been released.

That means fans should not assume that commentary tracks, deleted scenes, or specific cast interviews are included until the studio provides a complete list. For now, the confirmed extras are limited to the behind-the-scenes material announced for the home-video release.

A Second Age Story Worth Revisiting

The Rings of Power is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The series follows familiar and new characters across Middle-earth as the threat of evil begins to return. Its story moves between places such as Lindon, Númenor, and the Misty Mountains, expanding the world beyond the locations most audiences know from the original film trilogy.

The second season premiered on Prime Video in August 2024, following the first season’s debut in September 2022.

Its arrival on physical media gives viewers an opportunity to revisit the series’ major developments and appreciate its large-scale fantasy production at home.
