The Killing Kind Plot
According to the novel, Ingrid Lewis will remember John’s deeds. Ingrid defended John Webster, though he hurt people and lied about it. John warns her about a murderer chasing her. John says only he can protect her, and confused, Ingrid cannot decide whether to trust him. However, she has no time as death is approaching her.
According to the series’ synopsis, John Webster gets charged for harassing and stalking his ex-girlfriend. However, a lawyer, Ingrid Lewis, defends him, and he takes a toll on her. He gets into a relationship with Ingrid but changes her life when she tries to break up with him.
Ingrid’s mentor, Belinda Grey, dies after getting knocked down on a busy London street while Ingrid tries to be financially stable. John makes a threatening claim, which turns her life upside down. He surprisingly confronts her and informs her that she is in danger.
Ingrid smells something fishy and cannot decide whom to trust. She thinks Belinda’s death was a planned murder, not an accident, and questions John’s intentions. She is worried that John is targeting her. Thus, the viewers and Ingrid question whether John is a hero or a villain. Let us see whether we get answered by the end of the series or if it heads to another season.
What Actors Say About The Killing Kind
The trailer shows that John Webster (Colin Morgan) is a handsome guy, a successful businessman, and a creepy stalker. One will easily get attracted to such a person in real life. It is how Ingrid gets fascinated by him in the series. John’s qualities add more to the drama and confusion for Ingrid.
Even Colin Morgan found his character complex and had many questions while playing it in the beginning. Ironically, he did not get answers to all his questions, which adds to the authenticity of the drama, according to him.
According to Emma Appleton (who plays Ingrid Lewis), John is Ingrid’s strength that turns into a weakness and ends up hurting her. She gets fascinated by him because he likes her as she is. Emma enjoyed playing a lawyer who fights for truth and justice.
Ingrid does not follow her emotions but evidence. Emma emphasizes the need to learn how real harassment and stalking cases work. The series shows how the legal system works, how most related cases collapse, and how people are affected.
