The Bilibili original series The Infinitors will soon release an all-new episode that will take us further into the adventurous yet deadly world in which Zheng Zha has found himself. While at his normal 9 to 5 job, he stays back late at night to complete his work but receives a mysterious message that asks if he would like to find out the true meaning of life.
When he clicks yes, he finds himself transferred to a strange world. The show was first seen on November 27th, 2022. It has been ordered for around 12 episodes, making us almost at the end of the show. The Infinitors is produced by Bilibili and is animated by Wonder Cat Animation. It’s said to be based on a novel, although much information about its origins has not been revealed yet.
From the Chinese Mainland, The Infinitors provides a distinct donghua, where the characters are players in a video game-like world. The world is supposedly controlled by a Main God, that puts them into all sorts of worlds that they must survive through. Although these are virtual, dying in them would mean dying in real life.
Having no choice but to go through each world, Zheng and his companions must strive to collect about 50,000 credits, the total amount needed to return to the original world. With unpredictable worlds and powerful enemies, the hardest task is to keep living in this virtual reality.
The Infinitors Episode 10: Recap
In the previous episodes of The Infinitors, we see Zheng Zha, a white-collar worker is tired of his life at the job. Ever since the love of his life, Lou Li passed away, he couldn’t get himself to find any meaning in life. While he is working late, the question “Do you want to know the true meaning of life?” pops up on his screen, and he selects yes.
Zheng is spontaneously transported to an unknown industrial train with 5 other people who introduce themselves as Li Hongyi, a 12th-grade student, Zhan Lan, a writer, Li Lan, and An Shouyang, a businessman. They realize they are rookies in a game, where they have to survive whatever world they are put in. Along with them are two veteran players, who guide them through things.
The first world Zheng is transported him is based on a Resident Evil-like world, where they have to survive a zombie apocalypse while trying to find hints and complete the mission. The group ends up having to go through all sorts of problems, which take the life of all other players except Zheng Zha, Zhan Lan, and one of the veteran players, Jie. They realize soon enough that the better they play the game, the better their rewards are at the end.
Zheng almost dies in the first world, but he is saved when the veteran player uses his points to redeem more time for Zheng from the Main God. After winning in the previous world, the trio is sent to the Main God’s hall, where they can practice and rest for a while. Zheng is given a chance to create a living being that could stay with him, and although he doesn’t say it publicly, his desires are read by the Main God, and Lou Li is replicated inside the virtual world.
In the next world, the dangers only increase further. Terminator-like creatures run rampant. Zhan and Zheng try to fight off the monsters, but they get fatally injured. Zheng sees a vision that causes his internal energy to increase a lot and unlocks the first stage of his new self.
Meanwhile, at Chu Xuan’s side, they manage to go further into the building and try to find a way to communicate with Zhan and Zheng. After getting his new powers, Zheng can get back safely with Jie and the others, making the survivors a total of 13 people. They come across a video that was sent from the home planet, which shows that the main communicator had been attacked by the terminator aliens as well.
