The Horrors Of Dolores Roach- Premise
The series revolves around Dolores, a teenager who is a victim of an unjust 16-year prison sentence, and her life after she returns to a remodeled Washington Heights. As she returns to Washington, she reunites with Luis, an old stoner friend of hers.
Luis gives Dolres a second chance at life by employing her as a masseuse in a shop he owns. The series starts with Flora Fries, a Broadway actress portraying the role of Dolores Roach in a play. She brilliantly portrays the crime committed by Dolores Roach.
While Flora is alone in her vanity, she is caught off guard by Dolores insisting on telling the truth behind her story. Dolores starts telling her story to Flora about how she was sent to prison for a crime she didn’t commit.
Dolores was incarcerated after she got caught selling drugs for Dominique, her boyfriend. After she completes her sentence in New York’s prison, she returns to Washington, which has been completely remodeled since the last time she was there. The only thing Dolores was able to recognize was Empanada Loca, a pastry shop she often visited before her imprisonment.
At Empanada, Dolores runs into Luis, an old friend who offers to give her a place to stay in his basement. The next day Dolores starts her search for a stable job but fails to get hired by anyone due to her inmate record. Dolores begins to find success in her job as a masseuse after Luis begins to advertise her services.
The very first time Dolores murdered someone was when Gideon, Luis’ landlord, goes on a racist rant infuriating Dolores. The next day Luis begins to sell Muy Loco, a new type of pastry stuffed with unique meat, only for Dolores to realize the stuffed meat is of a dead Gideon.
Things take a turn for the worst after John, Gideon’s son, arrives at Luis’s shop with cops. Luis confesses his love for Dolores, and everything goes well for a while. Once Gideon’s meat runs out, Luis’s special Muy Loco becomes out of stock.
The meat gets restocked after Dolores murders Marci, a rival drug dealer, in a fit of rage after the latter mocks Dolores about Dominique’s infidelity. Soon Dolores discovers that Dominique died not long after she was sentenced to prison. Jonah continues to search for his dad and is helped by Ruthie in his quest.
Luis and Dolores become physically intimate, and midway Luis reveals to Dolores that Dominique is not dying in the Dominican Republic. Dolores kills Ruthie and Hector to prevent herself from going to prison. Dolores and Luis begin to plan a future together after the sale of his shop is completed.
Dolores snaps Jonah’s neck after he discovers his dad’s remaining body. Dolores and Luis begin to plan their escape after suspicion against them increases. The series ends with Dolores killing everyone and forcing Caleb, the second lead of the play, to drive her to Dominic.
